Nice to see the addition of all the Jets. Looks like I'll have some new cards to chase. Still disappointing that there's no Hakan Loob.

Well, Considering I recognize 4 players on that whole list, and wasn't alive or crawling around when most of them were playing, I dont forsee myself gettin too into this product! At least there are some new names in there though!

Edit: I understand now that this isnt the entire list, so there is some hope for me yet!

yeah, sorry about that. I didn't specify that these were just the players who were added. There are a lot more people, especially Leafs and Habs, that were already confirmed for this set.

Based on the checklist, I'm not sure if it'll be worth it to break a lot of this stuff but the autos should be fun to chase in trade or on E-bay.

Based on the what the set is supposed to be, I think that they're making it better. The theme of this set is to feature players from Canadian teams, past and present. They're have been so many sets that feature autos of Leafs & Habs players, it's nice to see something that features some different players.

I'm not disputing your claim about pulling a Tim Watters auto and being disappointed but these autos should be fun to chase down. Maybe if there were more sets like this, there wouldn't be the devaulation that's happening with Gretzky and Orr autos.

It's interesting that people downplay products like this when they don't necessarily understand the situation.

ITG is unable to produce cards of the 'current' NHL players in their uniforms and are forced to produce products like this in order to keep the company alive. They don't have any other choice - unless they disappear altogether.

I think the fact that they are bringing out something unique like this and providing as many vintage autographs as possible says a lot about how much the company cares about putting together a product that people will remember.

While you can say that UD may be the last producer in the hobby, maybe you should check the last few products they have brought out. UD1 didn't exactly have a whole lot of value on a case to case basis, and their other 2 products were vintage sets as well - with a far worse checklist for their autos and NO game used.

The fact remains that the hobby is suffering tough times as a result of the lockout, and if you ever want to see ITG out there bringing their great products that they produce when the season is actually on, you had better support them while they are desperate. Otherwise, we are facing watching arguably the best consumer-friendly company go down the toilet. Upper Deck will be around no matter what happens, but it's companies like ITG that won't be around forever.

There'll be demand for Tim Watters, Gary Smith, Dan Bouchard, etc. from team and set collectors going after the graphs.

I really hope Gary signs his "Gary Suitcase Smith"

Man this is great news for my Jets auto collection because I have no idea where the heck I would get a Tim Watters auto from if they didn't produce one! It would make my day pulling that one!

Props to ITG!

Paul

Neat. They actually added a few Flames who I recognize. That's phat. But I still think that I'd rather buy the entire set of singles that I want for the cost of the box.
