Hi guy's! Hope you're all enjoying the holiday season so far. Got some interesting stuff to show here. Nothing really high-end, just some neat and eye appealing stuff I picked up over past little while. Hope you enjoy the show.

Collin

First off, some Jagr's.

Found this card on eBay and bought it solely for the eye-appeal as I was looking for a couple cards to use for my signature and avatar. Very affordable card to buy and love the look of it.

Jagr Topps Heritage 2002-03 #6

Since I got the base version as seen above, I discovered this cool looking parallel. Just an awesome looking card.

Jagr Topps Heritage Chrome 2002-03 #6

Jagr Topps Heritage Chrome Back 2002-03 #6

Jagr Topps Chrome Refractor 2002-03 #5

Again not an expensive card, but saw it on eBay and it is an amazing looking refractor card. Debating maybe starting a Jagr refractor PC. Really a sweet looking card. Scans don't do it justice - you need to hold in under the light and watch the magic. I knew this was the card to use as my new avatar.

Jagr Topps Finest 1996-97 #70

Just the regular base version. Looks like it could be a refractor, but it is not. Still nice eye-appeal.

Mario Lemieux ITG Rare Materials 5/5

Also, got this Lemieux from a deal here on HI.

An honorable mention goes to the 12 Gillies YG's I've accumulated. I'll just stick to posting only one of the 12, but all 12 are posted individually in my flickr.

2017-18 UD Jon Gillies YG (x12)

Since he is in the Flames organization and looks like he has a bright future in the NHL, and considering how cheap they are, I figured I'd grab a bunch of these. I might try for his jersey number in terms of quantity in the new year.

Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.

Pretty funny Collin but in my COMC delivery this past week I received that same Jagr Topps heritage Chrome card! Whoduthunk we'd both get the same card the same week. I've been working on the set for over 15 years and wrangled a few on COMC during their Black Friday sales.

Anyway, nice cards, congrats and thanks for showing.

I like all of those, nice Relics on the Rare Pieces card. The 1st two cards remind me of a Stadium Club "one of a kind" card I had of Jagr, the shield would go from shaded to clear according to how you tilted it, forgot the year though.

Some cool cards Collin, sometimes the most fun and rewarding finds are those that are a little cheaper but have something that draws and attracts us to them. My additions are always full of similar finds. Great stuff, thanks for showing them

Those Topps Heritage cards were great and still are! I worked at Toys'r'us back then and took advantage of my discount to crack packs of it!

Haha. That's crazy! What are the odds of that happening? Really great looking sets - both the base Heritage and Chrome variety. You just don't see the Chrome parallels that often - very rare. That Jagr was the only one I'd seen period. I know from various searches, that other's have surfaced, but they are very rare. Definitely one of my favorite designs and cards. How far along are you with that set? I don't know if I'd take a crack at the set. I am not really a set builder, so I might stick to the Jagr and maybe grab a few more of players I like.

Thanks a lot! They are ALL very eye-appealing cards.

re the Stadium Club insert I spoke of above, it was from 99/00 Stadium Club, here's a link to a completed auction, the picture shows the Mask shaded. Cool card if your a Jagr collector, wish I would of held onto mine - https://www.ebay.com/itm/JAROMIR-JA...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
That is a cool looking card. Thanks for showing me that. Not sure if this will become a Jagr refractor PC for me or not, but I am really liking the Topps refractors from the various Topps sets. It might become a project for the New Year.

Thanks for the kind comments Scott. You are right. Sometimes it doesn't matter what a card costs, or how rare it is - it's the eye-appeal factor. Eye-appeal can often equal higher end, but not always. The old adage - "collect what you like" always applies, but it's great to make these cool little hobby discoveries. I've realized as a long-time hockey card collector that the "unknown" is still so vast - the hobby is that exciting.

Topps Heritage was such a great product. Great looking cards.
Thanks Paul! Glad you love the design too. Such an iconic and unique look.

nice stuff! I've been picking up a few old refractors recently, loving the sparks!
Looks like I'm not the only one that's maybe caught the refractor bug, lol. :)

That must have been fun. I wonder what a box of that stuff would cost? Would make for a fun break. Do you still have any in your collection?

The Jagr Heritage is sweet :)
Thanks! I knew you'd appreciate the vintage design. :hi5:

Thumbs up always for more Jagr cards around here!

I'll shoot you a PM. If you decide you want to start a refractor collection, I can help just a little.

Awesome haul Colin! Big fan of both players. Lemieux patches is insane!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the show. Looking forward to your year-end top ten.

Great that you appreciate the Jagr cards. Thanks also for the PM. Maybe we can work something out for something there.

Cool stuff Collin, thanks for sharing.

My best,

Ken
Your welcome Ken, thanks for the kind comments. Hopefully you will post up a top ten for your card acquisitions this year. Some great year-end S&T's so far. :hi5:
