Jake the Snake Roberts really hit rock bottom this past weekend

I believe it's only a matter of time before he's the next wrestler I grew up watching in the hey-day that passes away. There's only so much abuse the human body is able to withstand and he's just put such a strain on his, with drugs, wrestling, alcohol and who knows what else.

Love Jake, but man alive, someone needs to get him help and away from everything that is constantly bringing him down and that will certainly end his life much too soon.

Sad, sad thing to read and watch(video). Jake has been battling alcholism and drug use for along time now. Jake claims some drugged him. I have a friend who is locally a big time memember of AA. This person has been clean for nearly 10 years and he told me that point blank they can not even have a drop of alochol cause he will go right back to being a user. Jake was in a rehab paid by the WWE last I heard. I truely believe and hope that him being drugged is true. Hopefully he can get back to get his life back together.

A couple of years ago a local wrestling promotion brought in Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart, and it was one of the saddest things I have ever seen. When I say sad I mean looking at how the mighty has fallen and you never want to see some one you looked up to in that state.

Jake Roberts talked with Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com about what happened at the wrestling show in Ohio this past weekend. Jake claims he was drugged and admits it was one of the most scariest moments of his life, "I never have felt like that. I don't know why this has happened. I pray that it never happens to anybody. I am sorry. I can’t even talk. I can't tell you how scary it is because right now I am shaking just thinking about it. I just don’t want it to happen to anybody. Whoever did it, I hope to hell what goes around comes around and let God sort it out because I am not going on a man hunt because I am scared to even open the door much less anything else."

After the drugging, Jake's next memory is the next morning, "I don't remember the show starting. I woke up with my wrestling clothes on. Shannon [Jake's assitant] told me I had wrestled. I was like you're kidding? I don't remember anything. Even when I drank in the past I didn’t behave the way they said I behaved. I don't even know all the particulars yet. I may never want to know them all because I am so sick of it."

New details have also come out on the drugging from Jake Robert's assistant. You can read and listen to the entire interview from Jake's account and read the statement from Jake's assistant at the following link:

I hope this is true. Jake is an icon in the sport. One of my all-time favorites. Hopefully the true story comes out; either someone messed with him or he's lying to cover himself. I hope it's the former, not the latter.

What I don't get is if Jake wasn't even going along with the match as intended why would that other fat dude get in the ring and start trying to wrestle him? Those elbows buddy was throwing were as fake as anything I have ever seen. I was emberrased for fat dude haha. In all seriousness I hope jake gets some serious help.

He is so far gone, hard to come back from this, trying to cover this up with a lie just shows how far he is from wanting to get help.
