Jerry Rice and Ty Law CUT!

"What he wants to do is sit back and evaluate the situation. With Jerry, there's always been passion and fire, and that's never going to go away. He still has that passion and fire, and he just wants to see what happens over the next few months to see if there might be an opportunity that fits for him. If not, he will retire."

Rice indicated after the Seahawks were eliminated by St. Louis in the playoffs last month that he still was interested in playing.

"I still feel like I have football left in me, a lot of football in me," he said

The Panthers must really think that Smith will be back and Colbert can move up. Moose was all they had last year.

Carolina must be on crack cutting Muhsin! He was awesome. I bet this comes back to bite them big time. Smith probably won't be back to 100% and the jury is still out on Colbert.

Colbert will be a wicked WR, i think smith will be the question mark, but cutting wr's isn't a big deal that is why minnesota didn't mind trading moss, there is lots of WR talent in the draft this year so easy to replace

i am more surprised with guys like samari rolle,ty law getting cut and possible charles woodson getting traded, ty law not so much because they got some youngsters who can play and proved it in the playoffs and superbowl, but rolle and woodson are the best db's on their respective teams
