I'm looking forward to the unique patches for sure. I'll always be a fan of clean jerseys but nothing lasts forever and this was inevitable to me. At the very least it'll hopefully increase the number of nice patches out there and that's always a win in my eyes.

The new patches, depending on the advertiser, will be pretty cool I have to admit.

I don't like it and IMO the NHL and players make enough. I might be more open to it IF it lowered ticket prices. However if they do start putting ads on I hope it's just a small tastefully placed one and not like the over seas jerseys, I hate that.

I believe I had read there would be one (for now) and it would be no bigger than 3x3.5 inches. For comparison, NBA ads are 2x2.5 inches and you can Google Image to find what they look like on the shoulder.

I guess that is true, yeah. Why buy a fake jersey when you could just buy the small branded logo patches online.
