Joe Dimaggio Auto... UD AND Pinnacle?

This blows me away. I would have loved to see the COA on the UD card.


So.... if UD can do it, why can't I?

why cant yoy.. nothing stop you from defacing your own card and remounting it in a cut.

Razor did it in razor cut sig to lots of products

Donruss did it with payton signed phone cards

Me too, but I'm guessing the Pinnacle card was possibly damaged. I can't see someone intentionally cutting a nice card like that in half just for the auto, dunno could be wrong.....

I am fine with this. That's not an easy auto to find. I would be more than happy to have it in my collection.

There were 250 Dimaggio cuts produced for 08 Playoff Prime Cuts and they were all old Pinnacle autos. UD has used them more than once as well including at least 30 copies in Exquisite (although they trimmed most of the Pinnacle logo off of those) and a few other cuts sets. There's 9000 total Dimaggio autos made for those tins and is a very nice affordable Dimaggio for anyone in the market and regularly sell in the $125-175 range with copies also selling for less than that on occasion. Dave and Adams used to sell 5 tins sets with all 5 autos for $600 at one time but haven't looked recently. The only down side is the odd sized card.
