Especially since he cooled the jets of the Pens tonight! #1 Star of tonight's game in Pittsburgh, and just picked this up from the store where it was pulled a few weeks ago:
I just missed ripping the case where this card was pulled, the other guy got to the shop 15 minutes before I did, and I got a couple of my worst Cup cases that day, when he pulled this! Didn't think I'd have a shot at it, but surprisingly, was able to swing a deal through the shop owner to acquire it!
BTW, it's been a pretty great day at the shop! The owner of Collector's Den here in Pittsburgh bought a Super Chexx bubble hockey arcade game and it is right in the middle of the store floor.....so Saturdays have been some pretty heavy action!!! I used to play a lot in college, and it came back to me pretty quickly! Well, we've been playing best of 7 series for the past couple of months, until he started smack talking cause he was feeling pretty good about his play.....so I had to put him back in his place today.
Took the first series, 4-2. Second series went his way, same score, 4-2. I swept the 3rd series, 4-0, but he was still not ready to accept his beat down! 4th series, my way, 4-2, and finally he said "No mas!" after yet another 4-1 whipping!! Oh, yeah, and at $5 per game, it was a nice little jingle!! (+55!!). LOL, not that I encourage gambling.....oh, heck who am I kidding, I endorse it wholeheartedly, especially when you have the edge!
Oh, and not looking to trade the Brodeur, will entertain serious $$$ offers, but pretty content to just have it rest next to the only other Cup card i kept this year, my Lemieux Emblems of Endorsement /15.
