Catching up on some old mail, thanks for looking!

Thanks to Eric Murdoch! That Wayne/Bo card is an oddity, anyone know its origin? So many questions. Why is Bo in a Montreal jersey? Why is Wayne's leg cut off? Who's faster, Bo on skates, or an one-legged Wayne Gretzky? Does Bo know the answers to my questions?

The other cards are just guys I like, or really, really don't like i.e. Jamie Storr. When an organization drafts a goalie in the first round, or in Jamie's case, #7, you expect said goalie to perhaps, say, start at some point in his career. In Jamie's case, the Kings wasted eight years on him as a backup... lost Kimmo Timonen, and others, to protect him during expansion drafts... and passed up other better goalies in the system, like Manny Legace, and around the league, to give the Storrkeeper his shot. Did the Kings make a bad decision? Yes. Did Jamie ****? Yes. I'm not bitter that the Kings retarded their organization's growth for almost a decade because of one man. Here's maybe the last time I get to tell this joke: what do Jamie Storr and a 7-11 have in common? They're open all the time! Good luck with the Phantoms, Storrkeeper.

Having a RC of noted Kings killer and legend from my time, Quiet Joe, is nice. The other cards are for Kings sets I'm building. From Dennis Rioux and e-Bay.

I'm going to save my bitterness over Roenick for when the Kings are mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs.

Picked these up from e-Bay. Glad to have a Craig auto finally! Not looking forward to bidding on the Between the Pipes Craig/Tretiak dual... hopefully they'll make them sticker autos, so I won't be as interested, haha.

From e-Bay... a fat seam, and the color white, make for a nice, tough swatch. Not a lot of those type of Kings swatches out there. Just need to find a Luc 500 goals card now.

I've been looking for this card for a couple years, nice to finally land it. It's the only cardboard commemoration of Luc's record-breaking year... most goals and points in a season (1992-93) for a left winger (63 & 125).

And finally from e-Bay... after a couple hundred bucks, and daily searching, I'm done with the 2005-06 BAP SS Kings set. All I can say is these sticker autos are ugly, especially when the autos are cut off. Look at the SPGU Auto Draft set for sticker autos done right. And I can't believe I spent hundreds of dollars on Stephane Quintal, Bryan Muir, etc., autographs. But I digress! I'm glad it's done, take a gander.

All comments are appreciated! Go John Torchetti!

did you win the frolov auto draft? i saw you had a bid on him and stayed away hope that one makes it into the pc you should be almost there with the miracle on ice autos, thats gonna be sweet take care Sheng, Keith

Great kings stuff! I agree I'm not a big fan of the BAP stuff but its nice to see it all completed.

Let me ask you something though... does it hurt that Huet is playing this well in Montreal? Did any kings fan see this coming?

Sheng, as a fellow Kings fan I will give you a HUGE thumbs up on that post! WOW! I am digging all those goodies. :)

I love that Simmer Franchises auto and the Dionne and Lucky jersey's are super nice.

Also big congrats on finishing your set. That is actually a heckuva accomplishment! Nice work! :D

Hey Keith, thanks for looking out man. Actually I didn't win that one, but won another one later for a bit less ($25)... a relative "steal". Yea, it's going into the PC, I love those Auto Draft cards, they're the only sticker auto cards I've liked I think. I'm working my way on the Miracle on Ice autos, when funds permit, haha, just 9 more left.

Drew, well, I was one of many who thought Huet would never be anything more than an excellent backup. He was well-liked, but thought to be limited physically. We'll see if he proves me wrong in the long run, but he has been phenomenal. I still believe in Garon's talent, and blame a lot of his problems this season on his defense. But yea, the Kings could use those 6 shutouts this year. The bitterness over that one might need a few more Crystalball shutouts to build up, haha.

Barrie, thanks! I want to see more Kings mailposts from you, haha.
Will it take Blake coming back to the Kings to achieve that?? But I have to say, I love yr mixed mailposts, I always look at them, even though the colors usually offend me (SF, Colorado, NY)... except for that Lakers stuff... wow!

Thanks all for comments!

Sheng, sorry about the "other" cities and sports! :p

As far as Blakey coming back to the Kings nest season, you heard it too huh? Maybe that's why the LA fans aren't booing him this year, they know LA needs him. They should have never let him go in the first place!

I'll try and get some more Kings stuff up ASAP! ;)

The Gretzky/Bo is one of the several unlicensed cards that were released in the late 80s-early 90s of Gretzky. It isn't really worth anything but is a good discussion starter. If I recall correctly, the back says "Bo knows hockey," so Gretzky was probably thrown in there just for initial sells.
