Today Gainey said something about Vinny in his press conference.He said that in November he and Atlanta had a deal in place for Schnieder but something happened between then and yesterday. Tampa approached Gainey about a trade for Lecavalier (NOT the other way around) around this time which forced Gainey to halt the Schnieder trade. The talks were serious but at the end of the day it didn't materialize and that's why we got Schnieder yesterday and not in November.
