Verified Trader,
Evening all,
I had a surprise day off and was able to spend some time in the cards. I have been slowly plugging away on the 51-52 Parkhurst set. Despite most I actually prefer BVG slabs so its really slowed the process.
Anywho here is most of what I have picked up recently. A few might be older pick ups. I have another 4 or 5 coming in soon. My goal is to have a min grade of BVG 5.
Well when it rains it pours..
My last Labarera show and tell had a few major cards knocked off the want list. Some of them I had only seen 1 previous copy, or never even seen before.
A few months later I managed to pick up SEVERAL copies of some of the toughest cards.
First up..
I just pick up the 1st copy ever a few months ago. Shortly after I found 2 more.
Again 2 more rare Golds. Wish the Labarbera side was more interesting.
Annndd 2 more Golds. Seriously these have been some of the hardest cards for me to find. I figure its due to the difficulty in distinguishing regular silvers from the rare golds.
Now I am a bit peeved Labarbera is not in many sets anymore. I understand why, but still its a bit depressing. I guess it allows me to focus on his olders cards.
Minus plates Labarbera does not have many 1/1's. Many years ago I had bought his first AHL 1/1 tag and it got lost in the mail. The other AHL tag is owned by a collector in Germany. (and they will not part with it despite constant nagging..lol)
Weeeeeellll.. the 1st star for this post is pretty special to me. I didnt even know he was in the set. When I saw it for sale I jumped all over it. I probably paid more then it would have realized at auction. But was happy to cross it off my list.
Labarbera BTP Monogram 1/1. I wanna give a shout out to Dr. Price. Huge thanks for making this card and fitting the name nicely..lol
Ta da...
Well thats it for cards right now. Always looking for upgrades or double of rare cards.
Thanks
Chance
