Upstanding Member,
Was talking to my co-workers today about the Mark Scheifele story that aired on the weekend (you can see it in the post in this discussion area) and his tremendous commitment to the game of hockey.
It got us talking about how invested some players are in their given sport (not just hockey) and how it can affect the overall balance in their life. Some athletes are so consumed with what they do that they become lost in it and thus have no real outlet post-career.
I found the Mark Scheifele story interesting in that he seems very driven and focused on hockey.....but where's the line? Obviously a 4 minute feature isn't going to delve deep into his personal life, but it just got us thinking.
Then I read an article on NHL.com about Maple Leafs rookie Zach Hyman. Seems as though he has a talent that might carry him long after he hangs up his skates.

I think it's pretty cool and thought you all would enjoy reading it too.
