Lebron goes to.......

i hope bosh doesn't mind playing second fiddle to d wade....who will be playing second fiddle to king james.

I like that no matter how many titles they win, Wade will always have 1 more than Lebron. Kobe is probably licking his lips now that all the ducks have lined up in a row for him to knock down in one shot...

How long will it take for these three egos to clash?

Whatever...good for Miami. They're in for one hell of a six year run and for me, good riddance to Bosh. He's NEVER been a number one player and will explode as a #3. He and anyone else who thinks he's #1 is fooling themselves. He's Scottie Pippen to ANYONE'S Michael Jordan.

A lot of the comments in this thread was made a few seasons ago about the Celtics. The Celtics have won a championship and lost in game 7 of another one in 3 seasons. Obviously it can and do work. The Lakers are not much different. They signed Kobe, Artest and picked up Gasol as a gift.

These 3 played together in the Olympics and they all had a role. I am sure that this was well discussed between the 3 of them. I am willing to bet that the Heat are not finished signing stars yet. There are other guys (Miller, Shaq, Chandler) who might be willing to join them so they can get a ring. Expect some other surpising names going to the Heat.

This Heat team will be hard to beat. People are not giving Bosh enough credit. He avg 24 points and 10 boards while leading the league in free throw attempts. With the Olympics (with Bron, Wade, Howard, Boozer) he lead the US team in rebounding and was dominate on the boards and in the paint. All they need is a decent centre to plug the middle (Shaq/Chandler?) and they will be near unstoppable.

LeBron is a bum. Disrepecting the Cavs organization. Don't matter where he goes. He's not a leader nor a King of the NBA.

Celtics will beat them and the Heat will be a joke.

I heard the Cavs are trying to get gilbert arenas from the Wizards.

Also heard shaquille o'neal is thinking of going to Miami now instead of the Mavs

Free Agency sucks. Waste of money on jerseys and cards!

They all said they would sign for a lot less so they could get other players. It worked in Boston because the players were vets and was willing to take on different roles. I am not sure if these guys are mature enough to put their egos aside. If nothing else it will be entertaining to watch them.

Lebron is taking a lot of heat for not sticking it out with the Cavs and building a championship team. Instead he bolt for what he calls a chance to win right now. Just imagine if Jordan left the Bulls because they couldn't beat the Pistons:) He stayed there fought hard and went on to win 6 rings. This will forever tarnish Lebron's image. I still think he should have stayed in Cleveland.

I also respected D Wade for his work ethic and attitude. I now respect him even more. He not only decided to stay in Miami but he managed to get the othert 2 biggest FA to sign there as well. Awesome job Wade :beer I wish Wade would have signed with my favorite team, the Bulls.

I think the funniest thing about the situation is Dan Gilberts letter to Cav's fans. I'll have to find the link to it. Also the fact that Gilbert who also owns Fathead put the Lebron Fatheads on sale for $17.41! Ironically the same year Benedict Arnold was born!!

Link wouldn't work so I copied the letter..Enjoy as Gilbert sounds pretty po'd..lol

Dear Cleveland, all of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers supporters wherever you may be tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several-day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight: "I personally guarantee that the Cleveland Cavaliers will win an NBA Championship before the self-titled former 'king' wins one."

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our homegrown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland. Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day...

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue...

Dan Gilbert

Majority Owner

Cleveland Cavaliers

D-Wade won't be playing second fiddle to Lebron. The Heat are HIS team, not the other way around. I think Lebron's PPG will take a dip, while his APG will increase. Lebron will become Magic to D-Wade's Jabbar...

D-Wade is a monstrous center?

All kidding aside. The Heat are formidable, but Orlando, Boston, and maybe another team in the East will not roll over. Also with LA, OKC, and others in the West, there'll be plenty of competition for the Heat. One injury to either LBJ or Wade, and things get very interesting.

And don't forget that Miami literally has no bench right now. These guys aren't playing 48 mins a night.

Don't kid yourselves, this will remain Wade's team. LeBron will take a more Magic Johnson role on this team, Bosh will be off center and Wade will be quarterbacking the offense (and won't be asked to grow 8 inches to be more Kareem-like). If they can stick to their roles and not cry about touches and shots, they'll be tough in the east. Boston is polished because those guys have experience under their belts. In time, Miami will be unstoppable IF they can get along.

As for Bosh being underrated...I doubt that. He's NOT a franchise player. He's a good player and that will show in Miami. With no dependence on Bosh to be Mr. Everything, he'll flourish in his role with the Heat.

BTW, all three got their max deals...Miami got sign and trade deals done with both Toronto and Cleveland. That means a backcourt of players that make $10 an hour.

Gilbert seems just a little bit bitter ha ha. I don't think Lebron proclaimed himself "KING" that was the media. If Lebron signed there Gilbert would be so far up his butt that he would be able to tell you what LB23 had for lunch. Professional sports is big business and athletes are loyal to themselves. In the past players were loyal and dedicated to their teams, its not like that anymore.

Players come & players go. As long as they played hard for their team while under contract them that is all that should be expected. If in Lebron's shoes most of us would make the same decision.

how is lebron a bum and how did he disrespect the cavs exactly? because he didnt resign there? give me a break. he wants to win and is taking less money to play elsewhere. Isnt Free agency his right to do what he pleases?

he doesnt OWE cleveland, the cavs or gilbert jack****.

yes they treated him like a king, gave him everything he wanted, but its not like lebron was only taking from the city and the team. he gave back to the city and the team MORE than ANYONE could ever have! he brought excitement, money and hope back to the city and its fans. he revitalized the sport in cleveland. if anything, cleveland owes lebron FOR LIFE!

im a celtics fan, heat fan, lebron fan. hell im a fan of EVERY TEAM except for the lakers and kobe, so as long as Kobe doesnt win, i'll be happy.

on a side, note, Miller finally signed with the heat today and supposedly after kobe's comments the day after the lebron commitment ("I still have 1 more than shaq") the heat and shaq have been talking about him returning there as well.

cant wait to see kobe get his *** handed to him

Gilbert may have won over a ton of fans in Cleveland and in Ohio- but if that's how he reacts when a player leaves - how many players do you think will want to go there as a free agent? Zero.

And from several accounts that I've read and seen, the letter was pretty sanitized compared to his reactions in the past when things haven't gone right for the Cavs. It's one thing to be upset about losing your marquee player about $100 million of the value of your franchise, but it's another when you foster an atmosphere where players may end up browbeaten because they lost. If he reacts like that to LeBron leaving, then how might he react if someone else misses a shot to win a game? IMO - Gilbert has done more to hurt the Cavs than James leaving in the aftermath.

By no means do I condone the manner in which James got his ego stroked big time with his decision show, but he can do whatever he wants to - by the same token the Cavs enabled him to essentially run the team by catering to his every whim. You reap what you sow - and that's what you get
