Well, I redeemed two of these cards from Upper Deck and I got an email on May 30 saying the cards were both being shipped.... a couple days later I got another email saying my Modano had been shipped. Well, I got my MODANO today and no Lecavalier's yet. The Modano came regular mail in a bubble mailer. That I can understand as its only a $40 card, however, do you think they would have sent the LeCavalier's regular mail too?? $400 BV cards!! Anyways, they also wrote $40 for the value of the Modano... I wonder if they wrote that the Lecavalier's were worth $400 and thats why they are taking so long, because they are stuck at customs??

Anyone else in Canada still waiting for a Lecavalier or high dollar Ice scripts card?

Just curious if I am the only one or not... I better not get a bill from Canada Customs for like $40 for each one of these cards, or I'm gonna snap...

The status of my Trilogy Ice Scripts Kovalchuk changed on May 30th and I have yet to receive it here in Toronto. I emailed Chris Carlin to ask him about this, and I also raised the value declaration issue in my email. I will let you know when I get a response.

I just got my Crosby Artifacts and it came in a huge box  (12"x12"x12"), well protected with crumpled up paper and inside a bubble mailer. Attached was an invoice that stated a value of $10 . I didn't have to pay a cent ;) as should be! Even UD is crafty enough to outsmart the customs agents :p

Got a reply from Chris Carlin:

"We had some shipping delays recently, you should have the card soon. If you are ever asked to pay to receive a shipment from us, refuse the package and we’ll resend again. It’s rare customers are asked to pay duties or taxes on our items, but it does occur sometimes."

I received my 04/05 Paul Coffey Legends Classic Auto today via Fed Ex.....Only took 17 Months....So, off to Ebay Land!

Regards, Jerry
A little speculation on my part.......

Here in So. California I have received redemptions via U.S. Mail,,,UPS and Fed Ex....seems to be as consistent as they are! Keeps us on our toes after being lulled to sleep during the redemption period.

Thanks for all the responses guys... Jerry, I am waiting for that card too to complete my set. So, it seems to me that UD has sent my two $400 BV cards via regular mail, and I'm probably gonna get charged from Customs, in which I will have to refuse the items, and then wait what?? Like another 6 months to get the card again?? Brutal.... Thats my worst case scenario... the best case scenario fell through 7 months ago when I redeemed it and it said IN STOCK!! LOL....

Rod, Chris Carlin assured me that customers in Canada face customs problems very rarely. If something goes wrong, I'm sure Carlin will take care of it.

Toughie Rod,,,,I have had a Frank Robinson Auto/Patchy type Baseball Card redeemed in August 2005 say "In Stock" since I redeemed it.....guess it was nice of UD to let me know it was "In Stock"......guess that doesn't mean they will send it though.....As usual I'm very confused about what it all means!

Yeah, thats for sure Jerry... I am sooooo sick of redemptions, I am thinking of avoiding them at all costs from now on...

Did you redeem a triple auto from Legends Classics of Coffey/Murphy/Bourque? If so, plmk as I am looking for that one...

Thanks,
Rod

I got my modano and Robitaille regular mail last week but am still waiting for my Bourque, Kovalchuk, and Lecavalier so it's a problem at the boarder and I have a bad feeling were gonna get hefty bills when they finally do arrive.

On a side not its nice to see people realized the Lecavalier "SP" isn't that short at all...

Last one closed at $71 today. Item number: 8829561384

I've been following these and have seen, no joke, over 25 copies. Theres another 2 or 3 up right now also.

I wonder if Beckett will rightfully drop the BV considering they aren't even eclipsing $100 anymore

I have all the above mentioned coming my way as well (minus the Modano) and I have only received the Robitaille Ice Script so far. Considering I reside in Phoenix, I would think my redemptions should have arrived by now but who knows. I think UD is having their usual shipping/redemption issues. Hopefully UD's shipping methods don't create any issues for you Northerners.....

Cheers,
Darin

Doesn't surprise me at all Ernie... after all, I bought both of mine for under $60 each and that was when they first came out... you see that happen a lot with redemptions, because everyone sends them in and then the few redemption cards that are still floating around usually get huge money for them... I've noticed this with the Bourque and Kovalchuk thus far too, they are both fetching quite a bit less...

It would have been nice for UD to include the Ice Scripts redemptions in the population reports so us collectors could have better determine what value to give these when buying. I snaged my Lecavalier for about $80 back in the day but paid more then I should have on some of the others.

I picked up a Kovalchuk redmeption when the product first hit for $50 US. I thought this was a pretty good price because every other redemption I saw on Ebay went for much more than this. I recently picked up a redeemed one on Ebay for $42 US... must have been a steal considering all the other redeemed ones I've seen on there have ended anywhere from $80-$120 US. :) Hope the seller comes through!

Yeah, I was surprised not to see them in the pop. report too, and I still don;t know why they aren't, unless the print run would scare us!!??

Anyways, nothing today from Upper Deck...
