Not sure where to post this exactly, but thought some player collectors or fans of vintage might enjoy these. Has anyone watched any of the Legends Of Hockey videos on YouTube?

What made me a fan of Giacomin was watching his video. At the time I was collecting ITG vintage game used cards and tried to learn about the guys I was buying cards of. I’m not old enough to have ever remembered any of them so I went on YouTube and down the rabbit hole I went until I stumbled upon this series. Absolutely fascinating videos and stories. Some incredible old footage and really entertaining watches.

Has anyone else checked these out? If you’re a fan of old time hockey I highly suggest you check them out. Just search “Legends Of Hockey”.

Enjoy! Sorry also if I posted this in the wrong forum.

It is a great series. It was two different five episode series. Each episode is 60 minutes. I wish they would make another series. It was released in 2001 and there is certainly A lot of great players from the last 30 years they could feature.

I have the set, love watching it from time to time, so well done. The Ken Burns Baseball Documentary originally released on PBS is far and away the best sport doc I have seen to date. Sorry Last Dance.

I got the VHS set for christmas as a kid and watched it so much I later had to get a replacement set. It was wonderfully put together and still a great watch.

I purchased a Giacomin rookie Just due to watching the video of him from this series.
The story alone abt Giacomin coming to play at the Gardens after being claimed by the Red Wings is an incredible story. How the Ranger fans were even cheering for him instead of the home team. Even when the Rangers scored they booed.

Johnny Bower is also one of my favourites. To me he comes across like the kind of guy who would be easy to get along with.
And likewise I decided to start collecting game used cards of his.

I think watching Milt Schmidt's video is what ended up making him the focal point in my Hall of Fame autograph collecting. At some point or other, I'm sure I've seen them all....but I may have to go down that rabbit hole once again.
