Lightning and Teddy Purcell Reach New Deal!

Glad to see that the Lightning are keeping the core of last seasons team intact. This is a good deal for both the Lightning and Purcell! I can definitely see Purcell emerging as a 20+ goal scorer next season, especially since he'll have the capability of earning a spot on the Lightning's second line, alongside Vincent Lecavalier and Ryan Malone.

Nice to see one of my boys get resigned :beer: Teddy is an awesome guy who we have met several times. He is truly a class act and a great young player.

Here is a picture of Purcell and my Son Noah at hockey camp. Teddy is great with the kids, he will autograph stuff for hours and chats it up with every kid and parent....class act.

I'm surprised he signed for so little. I'm guessing with the 2 year contract that they told him if he has another good year or two like last year then he will be due for a huge raise. Really good signing by TB.
