After reading the fake Cam Fowler Cup gold RC thread here it made me want to post this thread even though I'm not 100% the two cards are the same. But judging by the autos, the seller, and the fact that the serial numbers appear to both be 82/199 I'll go ahead with this thread. If someone wants to message the seller and ask if the serial number is 82/199 that would seal the deal here. For anyone wondering the seller is a known Kenny ebay ID.

Further proof that graded cards are as big a crock of BS as the patch faking itself. There is no possible way anybody could fake a patch and still leave the card in what should be BGS9.5 condition.

If you're really good it (which Kenny has had TONS of experience with so I assume he is) I don't see why he couldn't leave it in perfect condition actually??? Am I missing something?

They don't authenticate the patch so why can't it be in 9.5 with a different patch in it?

wow...that totally sucks that you can get a faked card graded and slabbed. Makes me even more gun shy about going after higher end cards. Seems too easy to fake.

If UD can't get them into the packs in mint condition the majority of the time, how is somebody going to attack a card with a scalpel and not leave even the tiniest shred of evidence? I mean there has to be a chip, scratch, nick, SOMETHING. Anything that should theoretically bring the grade down from BGS9.5 to an 8.5 or 9 even. If a repatched card is grading out at a 9.5, then that tells me that whoever was doing the grading certainly wasn't looking close enough.

patch material is flexible, they likely just cut the old one all to pieces & slip the new one right in place :(

There is also a lot more room to work on a plain white swatch and I have heard that you can glue the patch right on top of the existing white patch in certain cases - I have no idea if this is true or not but it seems to be possible.

Listing has been removed! I think only ebay can do that when they deem the listing inappropriate, fraudulent, etc. Hopefully our messages to ebay got through to them on this card/seller. Not that this will slow Kenny down or prevent him from using one of his other 10 ebay IDs but it's a start.

This has happened in the past and he will never stop until he's behind bars. I think it's about time someone called the cops b/c clearly this guy just doesn't get it.
