Then again by the time Kobe scored his, he won a NBA Title already, which might never happen to Lebron!

These stats really don't mean a lot. Lebron came right out of high school to a team that needed him. Kobe went to a strong LA team where he sat on the bench. Guys like Wilt, Oscar, Pistol Pete, Jordan, Bird, West, etc...would probably all have more points then Lebron if they came into the NBA from HS. You also have to remember that a lot of big scorers played in the other league and didn't get to join the NBA until a few years into their careers.

Out of the players that entered the NBA from HS Lebron was probably the most ready (him or M Malone). Lebron is doing some fantastic things, I hope he can stay healthy and continue on with his great play.
