Lock-Out - Another European Centered Released?

They're still trying to give away the 04-05 UD All-World product... it would definitely have to be modified before they try that again.

I thought the 04-05 All World idea was pretty cool. Some very nice autos in there. But it was over produced for what it was and 1 auto per box doesn't cut it anymore in this market.

I would love to see another product...expand it to include some of the prospects that we will see in the next five years.

I would love to open up more of the 2004-05 UD All world, but I can't seem to find any boxes. Can you point me in the right direction?

Honestly, I initially misread the title as "Look out"...and that still feels appropriate. :)

Cup version of UD All World!!!

same players, different teammates, different combos on cards, different jerseys from various leagues around the world, new pictures! that'd be some nice variety. :)

Some of those All-World autographs were very SP'd, Curt's copy of the Gaborik auto is still the only one I've ever seen. If boxes are that cheap I'd probably consider busting one or two some day.

Can you imagine the patches that would come out of some of those Euro-jerseys?

I want a "Skoda" patch.
Like 08-09 DEL

heh my folks had a Skoda when I was little. One day my sister left a magnifying mirror on the seat and a black line was burned across the headliner. I recall my dad being quite upset that the whole car didn't go up in smoke

Given how much of a dog All World ended up being sales-wise - I can't see that seeing the light of day again

It does have some nice SSP auto's that people are still trying to find, I got my Hossa SSP out of the way and would love to see some more european jerseys on NHL'ers, but I wont hold my breath.

I did really like the All World boxes. They were fairly cheap (about $40) and only had 1 auto per box. But it was something new and special. And the multiple auto cards were awesome.

I paid over $300 for this card back then...

I paid $600 for the six star version /5 which included those four, plus Tanguay and St. Louis. To this day, it's the most expensive card I've ever purchased.

The fact that there's an actual rookie card crop for 12-13 (as opposed to the six pluggers in 04-05) will likely influence the decision to keep going with NHL sets.

I'd love to find the last card I need from the original set before they release another set :|

UD All World UP Close and Personal Auto. 97 (/10)

If they do, they will/SHOULD re-brand it. People still have a doo-doo taste in their mouth from All World, bringing it back would be a horrible idea. Repackage it and cut the production by 90% of whatever the print run of the last one was.

Honestly, I broke two boxes of All World and loved them, primarily because the set was something DIFFERENT.

Let's face facts kids - so much of the product that companies push out every year is getting to be cookie utter. Yes there's the occasional new bell ringing like the shadowbox inserts or tie-up mem cards, but there's little that looks and feels different.

All World achieved that in spades, and it can be easily done again if it's marketed properly.

Heck, I'll go balls out and say it - Dr. Price, there's your major set for the year - In The Game "H&P Lockout Edition" or something more catchy. Cards that look back on the 04-05 and 94-95 lockout, then update with 12-13. The licensing to get NHLers in those Euro jerseys would be dirt cheap, tons of photography is available for the AHL and CHL are available and even in your archive, and I'm ready to wager that those Euro jerseys are easily grabbable.

Great idea, although I will add that I'm not so sure how easy the jerseys are. I heard that some teams reuse the same jerseys year after year, just with different nameplates. Not so sure how accurate that is, but back in 04-05 that seemed to be the case in some instances.
