Hey everybody.
Well, I (as did some other relatives) got tickets from a relative for this game (x-mas present). Awesome gift. :D They were standing room though, but not a big deal. I've got nothing better to do, so I'm going to tell you all about it. :)

So, we got to the game around 7 game started at 7:30, just in time to watch the warmup. Which was fine, nothing too exciting, haha. The place (standing room) was packed. We were very luck to get in the front row.

So, before I realized the game had even started there was a fight!! I was looking around, look down at the ice and they just dropped the gloves. 4 seconds in. I think the Knights player won (Kelly Thompson), but it was a pretty close one. The game is pretty rough off the bat, with Brampton getting two penaltys in a row, by the same player...can't remember his name, but he is in Heroes and Prospects.

Oh yeah, I should also mention that in net for the Knights was Adam Dennis, there big pickup at the deadline. His first game as a Knight. He looked quite shaky to start but settled in nicely.

The Knights got the first goal, the only one of the first period. The Knights were on the power play, Schremp made an amazing cross crease pass to Perry and Perry one timed it in. :D Other than that though, not a whole lot of action.

The second period was deffinatly a bit more exciting. London got into a bit of penalty trouble, but, instead of getting scored on, Corey Perry steals the puck, goes in all alone on the Brampton goalie, and burys it! :D 2-0 Knights at this point. But, the period wasn't over...Brampton got a goal on the power play. It was a perfect shot, and Dennis didn't have a chance.

I'm afraid I don't remember much from the 3rd period. Other than the fact that London scored two more goals. Prust and Rodney. :D There was about 3 fights too. A great ending to a great game. Only bad thing was by the end of the game my legs were starting to hurt a bit. Standing for 3 hours straight isn't too easy. :p

Also, I should add, Schremp played great...he stands out so much. The only thing that is really lacking from his game is he isn't an extremly fast skater. If he had a bit more speed he would really dominate.

Sorry for the long read!

Yeah it was a great game. My hockey team went to the game and we got to tour the Knights dressing room, before the game we got to play a game on their ice! After we were done, Harrison Reed came into the dressing room and signed auto's..got one on my ticket stub. Then i went to the store, i bought a Fritsche auto-puck, Knights foam sheild, Schremp jersey bottle holder. It was awesome, can't wait to go to Sarnia and watch the Sting play the Knights!

Thanks for the recap!
I think Ive seen standing room utilized once at an IceDogs game. (game 4 vs. Guelph, when the Guelph fans packed the place). Supposedly the best seats in the house at the Toronto St.Mikes Barn are infact standing room.

Anyhow I would stand to watch the Knights play. Ive seen Brampton play a few times, they are obviously cross-town rivals of the Dogs, they often play pretty physical and well defesively, as do most of Butler's team, theres a reason they are actually in 2nd spot.

Getting Dennis was a great move by them, because if Coleman falters at all they wont have any problems throwing him in goal, figuring he won the championship last year and shutdown the Knights in the process.

How did Fristche play? Schremp is certainly a treat to watch, much like O'Sullivan (although he has more speed) he does so many things with the puck, you cant miss him when hes on the ice.
And fights, what would a game be without a few of those, they often get the crowd buzzing again, especially if it was an extended bought.

The Knights PP is lethal, when you can put so many great players out there, passing the puck around, its fun to watch.

Glad you enjoyed the game and hopefully the Dogs and Knights can square off in the OHL Final :D

Sorry for all the different points, bit of a messy post:o
