London Show: A couple singles and some packs...

Went to the show today for an hour and a bit, seemed a bit slow - but that just helped me .

I walked the floor first and picked up these two for $5 each:

I like them both, as they and they are each fairly rare (I think...)

Then I scouted out the cheapest packs, and with the help of Brad, found Rod. A great guy, very friendly - got four packs of Legends Classics.

First pack had this:

What a card - he said it is the third best card out of the case so far...if you like rankings . Brad has first shot at it if I decide to part with it - still thinking about it though...

Second pack had a Neely Gold 7(So close!)/25 and the rest were base.

Figuring that bow to have the best taken, I got 3 packs from Tom.

Again the first pack held an auto:

Nice card. Rest of base.

THen I picked up a Sweet Swatch (IMO) using some USD an eBayer had sent me:

I think it's really cool! (Sorry for the small pic, my scanner chosses whatever size it wishes, and resizing makes it worse...)

Went back to Rod and got a box of 03-04 UD2 using afore mentioned $$ of US.

The Thornton is a High Gloss 9/25. (Jesse - we need to trade packs, this is getting ridiculous! (regarding Hossa of course))

The Young Guns were of the Blah variety...

Question - how come I got a UD1 HG card in UD2?

All in all it was really fun for me, as I talked for awhile with a bunch of different people, and showed off the Howe. Haha.

Also of note - I made a parallel park on the street to save parking money - that was awesome to! (for the simple fact that I remembered how...haha)

Question - how come I got a UD1 HG card in UD2?

There were no HG in series 1.
they printed HG's for them in series 2 and inserted them in those packs.
Kinda like a bonus for no buybacks.
