Morning everyone...
Well I still collect cards... just have been lurking in the shadows. Havent had much to pick up since my main PC is Labarbera. However I have slowly branched out to Versteeg and Rattie. What can I say.. I like players with double letters in their names.. lol
Not a lot to show but felt it was time to put the effort.
Big shout out to Richard (sbangayan86) for hooking me up with a custom Labarbera card to add to my collection. Thank you very much for the card and time to mail it. Always appreciated.
Next are a few Vault cards I picked up on the cheap. Also Subway H&P Gold Rattie. Pretty sure its #/10.
BTP Jumbo Glove #/10.. adding it to the pile. I might have a few of these..lol
Picked this up a while ago but was saving it. Its probably my nicest patch for Labarbera ever. Again was pretty inexpensive and happy to have it. I have a few copies of this card (#/10) but the patch is just jaw dropping.. lol.. get it.. lol.. :whatthehell:
Now I have posted copies of this card before.. they are rare... omg for a player collector just so hard to find... 1998 Bowman CHL Autographs Gold Version #A2. I normally get them at a steal due to bad titles/pictures. I think the first copy I ever found took me about 10 years to find. Soooo of course i got the warm fuzzy feeling when this popped up on ebay. I got it for less then $5.00, including shipping....through the years I have purchased every copy I have seen. Think I have 3 now. That just shows you how rare they are.
Now the whale... which honestly should be just a guppy... seriously... Sigh. This card has sat at #2 of my want list for a long time... over a decade. Not because its rare... or serial #. If I recall this parallel falls about 1 a box. After all these years I randomly visited a site that I just gave up on for the lack of inventory, quantity or new stock. I had to rub my eyes a few times when I saw it listed. However it didnt have a picture with it and after about a week I was able to verify it was the card I was looking for. The dumb thing is it was at a card shop thats only a few hrs away with mild traffic.
Sooo.. you know i paid like 20X BV just to finally have it.. lol
2. 1998 Bowman Chrome CHL OPC International Refractors #140. Cant really tell from the scan but it has a little R on the back next to the card #
Well thats the end. If you want to add to my collection I collect Labarbera, Rattie and Versteeg in that order. I am a collector on a budget but with these players that shouldnt be a problem.. lol
Oh and I dont mind doubles. Please help me with Labarbera....lol. I need some common cards and would love to knock them off the list.
