I recently picked up this "autographed game used" Spezza stick from a sports show. The dealer claimed to have gotten this from a Binghamton Senators trainer. It seemed real enough to me and the price was right. Just wanted some other opinions. The one thing throwing me off is how Spezza's number is signed, the first digit is just a scribble. Also if you look at the Spezza nameplate closeup, the corners of the stick are really worn down, don't know if that's usually the case for game used wooden sticks.

The stick looks pretty good, in my opinion. The signature could be just one of those things, I mean how many times have you seen poor signatures from players on cards? In person autos are even worse, smudges and poor penmanship galore.

The corners on the stick I'm not sure, I can check my wooden Spezza when I get home later to see if that's consistent. The butt end should be shaved somewhat, I couldn't tell from your pics if yours is or not.

Any numbers penned into the white butt tape? Spezza sticks usually have some reference of the game the stick was used for, as well as even the stick number from the game (as in how many sticks did he use in the game, is it #2, #4, etc).

I'm far from an expert, I've only seen a few so it's hard to tell. Still, if the price was right it was probably worth the risk.
