Looking for some opinions...

Hey guys,

I was just looking for some opinions on whether or not you think these two pictures are of the same jersey. I've circled the three areas that I think might match up.

I've had a bit of a hard time finding good pictures of the logo, and this is the best one I've come across.

Please let me know what you think!

I would say the circle in the upper left makes me say yes. Tough to tell with the card though. No photos on getty or is it to old?

if you know what season it is from, try looking at games pictures... that is how i do it for some whalers stuff

The jersey is from the 98-99 season and the 3 low-resolution pictures on Getty don't really clearly show any part of the jersey.

I've gone through a couple of old Senators programs from back then, but they don't have any clear shots of the jersey either.

I believe that the final time the jersey was worn was April 27/99 against Buffalo. If i could find a good picture of Alfredsson from the last 2 games of that playoff series, I would have a better shot at matching it.

I would say it is a match and congrats on the Alfie jersey! I was watching that jersey as well but decided to pick up something else instead which I will post tomorrow.

That is a puck mark beside the left eye. If I could find a picture from the last couple of games he wore the jersey in April 1999, I'd have a better shot at macthing the puck mark.

Thanks! I was surprised what it went for compared to the other 2 Alfie's.

I don't understand why it was so cheap compared to the other Alfredsson jerseys either, it's not very often you see an Alfredsson alternate captain jersey.

Just to pass along I asked a friend about matching up your jersey and though you probably have already thought of this he said to try the Sens yearbook for the following season as most of the pics should be from the year of your jersey. There was one on ebay

Sweet Alfie with the 'A'! Definitely looks like it could be a match, but hard to tell with just a low res card pic IMO
