2006 World Junior Hockey Championship
Team Canada Game-Issued Jersey
#5 Luc Bourdon
This beautiful Team Canada jersey comes to us direct from Hockey Canada. This pro-weight jersey (with fight strap) was made by Nike and is a size 56. It was prepared for use (Game Issued) for#5 Luc Bourdon for the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships. This set of jerseys were prepared for use by Team Canada in the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships, but were not used when they moved to the new Nike Swift jersey. These jerseys look like the Swift, but are actually a heavier airknit material and are shaped like a regular jersey. These are NOT TIGHT FITTING like the Swift jersey. NOTE: Bourdon was orginally going to wear the number 5, but ended up actually wearing #6 in the tournament.
This particular jersey has a fully embroidered Hockey Canada crest and embroidered shoulder patches. The numbers are two color twill and "kiss cut" which means the outer color is raised above the inner color. The name is made of twill material and is heat sealed to the name plate, not sewn down. There is a Nike barcode inside the jersey. The IIHF patch sewn on to the lower right back hem. This jersey also features a beautiful Vancouver 06 WJC Tournament patch on the left breast. A photo of this patch is below. These patches were not actually used on the jerseys worn by Team Canada during the WJC 06 Tournament.
As this is a game issued jersey, it does not show any game use.
A Letter of Authenticity from Hockey Canada will come with this outstanding jersey.
