I consider myself to be a pretty intelligent person. Well then I go ahead and do really stupid things sometimes and this story is one of them. You know those "lot" auctions on Ebay where they show all of those great cards and supposedly they give away graded Gretzky RC's and whatnot. I fell for it about 10 days ago- must not have been right in my head that night. The seller puts in their ad that if you buy 40 lots you get a bonus Yzerman, Orr, Gretzky, or Lemieux piece or a pack of Parkhurst Rookie. For every 5 lots you get 2-3 autos/memorabilia, for every 10 lots you get a pack of either ITGA, Trilogy, BAP SS 02-03, Memorabilia, SPA, or BAP All-Star. Well today my 45 "lots" arrived crammed into a bubble mailer. There was no differentiation between where one lot began and one lot ended- it was just all crammed together. Needless to say there was no Gretzky RC- not that I even had the slightest expectation of one. Here is what I "pulled"

BAP Memorabilia '04 Miettinen Ruby /200, Brown RC, Brush with Greatness Draw Sawchuk, Zetterberg, and Gaborik and DITC Minnesota, BAP Memorabilia '03 Kapanen Ruby /200, BAP Memorabilia '02 Yashin Sapphire /100, Private Stock '02 Biron gold /106 and Private Stock '04 Thibault Increase Security. The rest were crap base cards.
Fortunately for me, got a nice package in the mail from Lionel. Recently Lionel bought some Parkhurst Rookie Auto Jersey RC's from me that he needed for his set. Recognizing that it was difficult for me to give them up he sent me a nice bonus: First off he forgave me the payment on an auction that I won of his for a Parkhurst Rookie Miettinen game used rookie jersey gold /10 3C- SWEET card. He also included a GORGEOUS ITGU/SS Stick/Jersey Gold /10 of Datsyuk, an ITGU/SS jersey of Lidstrom and a SPx Semin auto jersey RC. Thanks Lionel!
