well,
today ****ed.
but, I got mail none the less.
And some free crap which made it almost tolerable except I woke up with no pain in my mouth, and now the right side of my jaw is throbing. Raging anti dentite over here.

Anyway,
you didn't come here to read my musings, or maybe you did, I don't know, ramble ramble.

pictures!

Snagged with me in mind, and I couldn't be more appreciative, and uber fast in getting here. Mailed Monday the 31st, here on Thursday teh 31st.
I'm still waiting for something from Montreal that was supposedly shipped on Wednesday of last week.
Renee, you rock, I'll leave ya some feedback shortly, and your cards went out yesterday, (likely left the post office today) hopefully get to you just as quickly.

Next up.
Some of you may remember me being happy the other day (week ago tomorrow) as I won a contest over the radio.
And unlike the CSC mag contest I 'won' in November (sept, contest) I actually have this prize! remarkable I know, how a radio station can give something away and have itin my hands in under a week while I wait 3 months for the other...wait, I know, they didn't give it awayuntil they had the item! good way to operate.
Anyway.
Here's my fabulous prizes!

New Metallica DVD!
Can't wait to watch it.

HOCKEY TICKETS!
4 to be exact.
For the st. kitts falcons of the some junior league, junior b I think, regardless. I will either give these to my mom for tomorrow or be going next friday,
all I have to do is find 3 friends...and drive to st. catherines.

And on the topic of St. Catherines, I was there to pickup the prize and decided I would check out the card stores. 2 listed in the CSC listings, and what a bust.

1 was closed :/ and the other was a ROYAL PAIN to get to, and it smelled like cigarette smoke as soon as I walked in, and they didn't have anything I wanted, nice comrie POH auto (oh, the setup!) but, I already have that.
So I walked away with nothing, and the amount of work I went to to find those places it was quite disappointing.

But there you have it.
My long long day. Started in a dentist office, and is in the middle with me sitting here writing to the masses with a headache.

And it's at this point that I realize I forgot to scan 2 cards I needed to
Dag nab it
the Topps pristine patch and PS REseve retail will be scanned later.
My apologies to anyone who was waiting for the first, and the latter to beztilny. get it to you tonight sometime, with any luck, I'm goin to take a nap.

painfully yours...:D

I'm going to restate for the record:
Phil, you seem a MUCH happier man in person. :)

You could also win on that Metallica DVD set that you won. A double win would be incredible :)

Nice haul, Phil!

haha,
I'm just having a rough day.

Getting hit at the dentist has ruined me for this day.
Seeing a lineup of dentist appointments through to march and when asking for a 'about how much is that going to cost' and hearing 'well, it's a lot of work,so probably a lot' is not fun.
Especially when you have ZERO dental coverage and it all comes OUT OF POCKET.

so no cards for awhile :/

That would be RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME!

Hope it happens :)

Thanks ;)

The Comrie and the Smyth are pretty cool, always have to love snagging those oddball cards for the PC :)

nice oddball stuff that is one area where my Iginla collection is weak. Cool win on the DVD but I am not a big metalica fan. Sounds like someone hasnt been FLOSSING haha just buggin'.

Phil,
Certianly an interesting day. I dont mind the dentist at all, but I go at least once a year and have coverage :p. Not a huge fan of Metallica, prefer GNR ;), congrats on winning that contest and at least you have the prize, Im sure the other prize will be at your door eventually!
Oh and nice additions to the respective collections!

You're very welcome for the two cards. I knew you'd want them the moment I found them in a commons box.

Sorry to hear about the dentist too. I can totally relate. When I first moved to Calgary in February 2003, the pressure in the airplane did something weird to one of my teeth. Of course, I had no dental insurance (and still don't except for basic). I've paid for a root canal of all four roots of the tooth, then a crown, then two gum surgeries...all so it could fracture anyway and get extracted and replaced with a bridge. Totally out of pocket. Lots of trauma. At least they credited the cost of all that other stuff to the bridge, but it still cost an extra $465 on top of the already huge sum.

I'll keep my eyes open for cool cards of your players. Hope you feel better soon!

Renee :)

Phil, I don't know what it is but I am a huge anti-dentite!! As a kid I always believed that brushing and flossing your teeth got rid of all the good protection that was on there. :p And I was lucky enough to grow up with no cavities.
In my later teens I stopped brushing altogether (laziness) and up until a few months ago I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years. I had to go for my RCMP application recently and my teeth are just fine (after 10 years of brushing maybe once a month).
And no they're not disgusting looking and I don't have bad breath, lol! :D Maybe good teeth are in my genes but personally I think brushing/flossing and teeth cleaning are things the dentists tell you to do so they get more business fixing them......hopefully I don't get taken out for saying that  ....wait, there's someone at the door.......

Man, lot of replies :)
Thanks everyone.

That's pretty much my thoughts on the dentist community aswell, kinda like 'this'll do ya for a little while'
Seemingly I need to floss more :/
Haven't gone in 3 years and I have 2 legit cavaties and the rest is 'stuff I can see on the x-ray'
I always love how the dental hygenist who looks in your yap for about 2-3x+ the amount of time as the dentist can see 2 cavaties, while the dentist takesa quick look and somehow finds "lots"

oh well.
Like an auto mechanic, 'you need a new johnson rod' 'oh, yeah, a johnson rod!" (seinfeld reference! :D )

And yeah, I"m cheerier in person, mostly because the sarcastic comments are easier to pickup, and I saw just about everything with a grin ;)

*warms up the scanner*

Look on the bright side Phil....maybe he can "drill" some mojo into you. I on the other hand, will seek other means of mojo-improvement.

haha,
downside is, it'll cost so much I won't have the opportunity to rip anything.

haha
you got it :)
double bass power thrash.
about pirates :)
Under Jolly Roger is a good tune too.

Mmm...double bass. :D I'm a drummer...kinda, haha. I don't/can't double bass though, just cause it doesn't apply to the music I play, and it's rather tough. I'm sure I could if I really tried to though. But like I said, it doesn't really apply to the music I like. :/
If you want to here the some of the best double bass work put ever laid down I suggest you check out Jason Bitner of Shadows Fall or whatever. I've heard it's really good.

I too dislike dentists and everything to do with them, haha. Costs soo much, for basicly nothing. The whole expirence really ****s though, that's all that matters.

Oh yeah, nice mail too! Very nice oddball cards...those are tough for sure.
