Mail ... WTH ... it's been awhile

Yea, I know ... over a year or more :crazy:

I've pretty much been out of the hobby card wise for almost a year or more now. Real life at home (some of you know what that is about) has replaced anything to do with cards. I do visit HI daily to keep up with the news and such. And to see all the great cards that everyone is getting, case / box breaks, etc


Well I've got 3 cards that I want to show you all ... and a little story with each one ...


First up is this Shane Doan 11/12 Contenders 2clr Patch / Auto ...

I got a redemption in a box break at MLS last year on Fathers Day from a box my daughter had bought for me, redeemed it hoping for a killer patch.

Well no killer patch but it is serial #'ed to his jersey # 19/100

Next up is this Patty Kane 09/10 Ultimate Collection 3clr Patch 6/25 ...

It would have to be over 2 years or more now during a round of pack wars at MLS Trading night I won a sweet Getzlaf Ice Patch 3 clr & ser #'ed 15/15

I passed it onto Matthew (wwjd10) and told him to "pay me back when you get something nice from a Hawks player".


Well just after this past Xmas in the mail was this ...

Way more then what was needed ... Thanks Matt



Now we have the last card and why HI is the best hobby site around ...

At the beginning of this month Dave (canucksfreak19) pm'd me asking for my address, sure, figured it would be a neat little insert Hawks card ...


Well, lets just say I was very surprised, Betty (my wife) said " it's been a long time since I've seen you smile about a hockey card" ...

Thanks Al ... I had to reload the software / program onto the "new" (16 months) laptop it's been so long.

I hope to be able to make it out soon, things are starting to get better here at home
