Verified Trader,
Hey all!
Haven't had too much time for the card collecting part for a long time. Mostly just buying cards I need.
I started a new job last October and since that, I've had even less time to focus on collecting. But! i'm not quitting.
What I decided to quit is collecting Roenick. At one point last year, the whole thing lost it's flavour, and due to many reasons, I also realized there's no way I can keep up with the new and even older cards I needed, so it wasn't too hard decision after that realization.
Also, I've started some collection of guys I cheered for as a kid. And being a 1990's fan, the cards won't even cost that much.
With those adjustments, collecting has been a lot more fun thing to do.
Well, here's my year 2014 in collecting...

Some pretty basic additions here, but the Audette UD Canadian Exclusive was neat to track down.

More Casey pick ups I got in a trade form a Finnish collector. I still like the BAP Silver autos. Much better in person.

I was happy to track down the Unfourgettables in a short period of time. You usually don't see this kind of issues too often after Expos.

The main attraction would be the Roenick Donruss Canadian Ice Stanley Cup Scrapbook Platinum version. Well, since I don't collect him anymore, it's available.
The Suter Ice RC is available too, as is the Fuhr Trilogy auto.

Sometimes the most common parallel can be the most difficult. Such was the case with this Gratton Topps Blue/500 parallel. Glad to have it now, though.

Very tough parallel to fin, Pacific Complete Red/100. Some products very opened more and it's easier to find the red too. Still need a Chris Gratton Complete Red from 2003-04.
The cards from the next two picks are available. Decided to pick up some jerseys because the shipping was the same no matter how many you bought.

The reason I bought the buyback lot, Jon Casey 2010-11 Upper Deck French buyback. These have been very hard to track down too. My favorites from this pick are the two at the bottom. Been looking for the Isbister for ages and even longer for ther Tkachuk BD Winning Formula Platinum. How sweet it is to push delete on an old want?

My kind of highlight reel for player collections! Cole has been a tremendous help for picking up stuff for me and on eBay. 1992-93 Panini French Stickers were very frustrating to find and now I got so many with one strike.
My MacLean collection is at 8 missing cards. However, I don't see finding any of those in a long time.
The Jagr Team Pinnacle has Tkachuk on the other side. Decided to scan the shinier side
. This is one of the cards I just dreamed of owning as a kid.

How many Tkachuk cards /10 (or less!) can you pick up in two weeks? This many! My favorite is of course the 2000-01 BAP SS Emblem.
When ITG Decades 1990's was released I though this is going to be impossible with so many cards /6, /3, /2. Now I'm sitting at missing three, but they're /3, /2 and /2, so there you go.

I was really happy to find the Isbister from a Finnish auction site. I know I'm in the minority, but I just love the old Coyotes jerseys, both home and away.

Lots of Decades, Expo ITG and BTP stuff, plus an Audette MVP/25. Very happy for that. Has anyone seen a Beaupre Big League Debut Gold/10? I've been checking eBay since the release and still haven't seen one.
The Michalek and Chiasson are available.
Okay, the next six pics feature cards I got from Canada. We went to visit my little cousins family in Vancouver in the the middle of June. What a cool trip it was, although I got a flu again and didn't taste anything for five days. Other than that, it was great. Two weeks is far too short time to visit there!
I visited OT sports with my little cousins father. It was a nice visit even though I didn't have so much time to be there.
The Certified stuff is from the three boxes I bought from Port Alberni Wal-Mart. Got them fro the shelf price, even though at the counter is was more. Their mistake, like my little counsin's father said.
I managed to pull pretty nice card with the Hall Auto/Jersey and Nuge auto. Also pulled a Roy Goalie Pulls SP, which went to my brother.

Cole gave me a hand on many of these. Most came from Sportlots. I was so suprised about the Zamuner Classic. Didn't know about it until checking Sportlots. It's called 1992 Classic 4sports TONX.

Can't say I've ever paid so much for a Stempniak from what I remember. Maybe someone was building the set but anded up paying over $40 for the Black Diamond auto/10. Oh well...
finally managed to put the Score set to bed with the Emelin NNO RC. Now, to figure out what to do with the 2010-11 set because the SPs go for a lot, and I only have one!

Woohoo! With the Tkachuks, 2012-13 Ultimate and 2013-14 Stickwork have been put to rest.

From time to time, it's good to check out Centerice Collectibles to find rare stuff.
The Zamuner Kraft is from a factory set. The Terreri was an unknown card for me too, it's from 2004-05 Hockey East set.
For some eason, I love these sheets Upper Deck and Parkhurst put out and am always happy to add them to my collection.

The last pick ups of 2015. 'm a big fan of the UD buybacks, no matter what year. Gives something fun to chase after at an affordable rate.
For the Stempniak BAP six auto, couldn't click the BIN fast enough! So glad I have it now. The last five cards are all available.
Thanks,
Sauli :goal:
