WARNING - Very long read ahead! 
First up, my mailday. Usually I just post my breaks in this space, but today I got a very special card in the mail. It's a white whale of sorts that finishes (for the moment, at least) a project 3 years in the making. Thanks to a very reasonable seller, here's what I speared:
07-08 SPA Tuukka Rask Future Watch Auto RC #/999 :goal:
This card completes my 07-08 SPA set (base, holoFX, SP Notables, non-auto RCs and auto RCs)! Since the redemption for the Rask was INCREDIBLY hard to come by and live versions practically non-existent, this has been a tough one to track down for a reasonable price, but I finally got my hands on one. I've never seen a patch/auto #/100 version of this card, so until I do, I'm finally ready to put this set to bed.
Okay, so on to today's carnage...
I got a call from a good friend of mine who told me our LCS was getting a fresh 6 box case of 10-11 The Cup today. I hesitated for about 1.2 seconds before deciding to meet him there.
When we got there, the shop owner hadn't been able to resist and had cracked two tins from the case. We were a little put out, but we hadn't planned to break the whole thing anyway and he didn't pull much (his biggest hit was a Tavares Honorable Numbers with a white patch and a white/blue patch).
My friend was very excited to crack, so I gave him first choice. He pulled an AMAZING Sakic/Yzerman Dual Honorable Numbers 19/19, both 2 color patches (pic can be made available if anybody wants to see it
), so he gave me next choice. I made my selection and told him he was free to bust the other two...which he did. 
The other two tins contained a Tyler Seguin 1/1 printing plate auto (cyan from his Cup RC, no less!) and a RIDICULOUS Nicklas Backstrom (Capitals) Draft Board/Patch/Auto booklet 8/10!! However, none of these cards came in a tin with a decoy, so I started thinking mine may have the case hit...
And then I cracked it. Here's the damage...

Off to a bit of a bumpy start...but the next card is:

Really?? Of all the AMAZING patches that could come off of a Hawks jersey, I got two solid white ones? Now I'm starting to sweat this break, thinking maybe I got the junk tin instead of the case hit tin...next card is:

Uh oh, I'm in real trouble. The last two cards had better be phenomenal if I'm going to salvage even 25% from this break...next card is:

Jamie Arniel 1/1 (yellow printing plate from The Cup RAP)
Right idea, wrong Bruin. Now I'm REALLY hoping the last card ISN'T a decoy, I'll need something with value to help make up for this nightmare...

Saku Koivu Alexander Ovechkin Tribute Auto/Patch #/5!!! :goal: SOLD
I know these cards tend to sell for crazy sums, but I don't know if this one's big enough to make up for the rest of the tin or not. I know Koivu has a following, Montreal collectors go nuts for...well, anything Montreal, and some high-rollers are crazy enough to put this set together, so I'm hoping I can recoup most of my expenditures here...
Anyway, that case was one of the sickest I've seen cracked, especially since there was no tin with a decoy, no #/99 RPA and no shield. Just a very well-balanced case from a very nice product.
Everything in my tin is FS, look for a sale thread soon before they all go swimming. Thanks for making it through this very long read and, as always, comments are welcome! :beer:
