Welp.
Today I headed down to the old card shop, met up with Glenn (BigBarracuda)
and the verification part of this message is to say "I BOW TO THE STAAL COLLECTION!"
Something to behold in person.
As Glenn said, pictures are one thing, but seeing them in person is awesome.
Great collection man.

Also Glenn was nice enough to hook me up with some nice Oil cards + a leaf

they'll be in the collection as soon as the box top is liftable

Was fun hangin out, will have to do again, chitchat about cards + hockey.

At the cardshop made a trade for this bad boy.

Still have some store Cred to picup in the deal, but, was nothing really peeking my interest today so we'll wait until tomorrow or later to collect .


Came home and was kinda suprised to only see one bubblemailer in the mailbox, and no pacific AHL box.
But, This did arrive, with a brief stopover at canada customs...not sure what they thought was in it

The Gretzky is sweet...they really got the looks of this one perfect, his face, to be most specific, looks just like him. Is that one going to come out of the package?

BTW: Ya know the Hinske McFarlane you have, the one with him diving, I belive, it's the regular one, right? I think I saw the varient of it at a show awhile back. Do you know if it's worth much? It was $15, I thought about buying it, but decided not to, I'd rather save the money and get the regular one.

THis one will be staying in package as it's the chase fig.
15 for a hinske chase assuming cdn dollars, would be a great deal.
that's cheaper than walmart store cost.
the white jersey is the chase, and the grey is the regular.
Easier to tell in person, picture it's difficult as they both have very simillar design.
Thatseller prolly through that the white was the regular as the photos on the packaging are hard to distinguish and the Hinske was inserted at a lesser rate anyway.

So decent deal ifyou come across that one again.

The Hinske isn't worth a bunch bc it's Hinske and he's not that popular around the league.

There's a few priced around 25 on ebay with BIN's US $
not bought though.
that seems a touch high to me.
prolly 18-20 US would sell.

Ahh, I see thanks for the info and stuff. Do you mind if I ask for a picture of the Hinske again? I'm sure the one at the show was different than yours, but I didn't think it was white. Must have been though, and I'm just confusing myself.

BTW: I built a Stajan wantlist today...man, he sure has a lot of cards. I need to knock some off. If your store where you have the credit at has any I need, I have some cards you would like, in more ways than one, haha. (Ales Hemsky OPC rookie, ect.) LMK?

Great to meet you too, and thanks for the kudos on the Staal collection. Once I get back to work I will be updating my PhotoBucket scan (too long to do it at home here on dial-up).
Based on what we spoke of for "nojo", with the exception of Wes, I con't think of anyone that can whine as justifiably as us LOLOL

Lastly, I got home and read the Exclusive box......."Auto rookies 1:21.....this box is a 20 ct" .....break out the whine! I will be aiming for roughly 9:15 to bust it, and will post live on Show n Tell.

Maybe it was just because I was concentrating on other cards but those along with the topps and opc blue and red parallels don't seem to come out of people's commons/parallel boxes. I'm sure there's lots of them around but you really have to look for them.
