I tried to post this a few days ago, but I couldn't because I didn't have enough posts. From where I'm from, we make 1 thread to post all new acquisitions aka a collection thread. I know you guys do things differently here but I'm going to stick with the model that I know. So all new stuff I get will show up here.

Also, this may help to anyone I deal with here as well, I don't get my mail delivered where I live. I live in the city and don't feel that it is safe to have packages sitting on my steps. So I have all my mail delievered to a safe "deep country" location out in "the boondocks" which results in a delay for me to physically receive mail. Some might say I have a "drop" address for mail. I only go out there maybe once a week, sometimes once every two weeks. So I let some time pass then I pick it all up. This makes ebays sellers anxious on me but whatever. Its better than getting my mail stolen!

So my lastest acquisitions to my PC. The Vanek doesn't count tho. I have a trade deal set up with a local dealer regarding certain cards and they are gonna get that card:

And here is the other things I got in order to get my PC items. Typically I try to buy lots at low prices to get what I want. In this case, I opened a couple of packages wondering why I bought the items (like the Perreault auto) but whatever. If anyone wants these things, let me know.

I collect cards for the Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays/Rays and Atlanta Falcons. I also collect hockey jerseys and Transformers. My collection PB is here. Note to PB surfers, everything in ForSale is gone so don't bother.

I decided to resurrect my first s&t thread. Its easier for me to just use one thread for all my acquisitions, as it is what I am used to. Also easier for me to find it!

So today I hit the HSA jackpot. First up a bunch of Craig Muni!

Next some Michael Grosek. Too bad the Serge Savard is a ballpoint pen, oh well its my first for him anyways.

Darryl Shannon. The Handzus GU has Doug Weight on the back. And my second redemption card of the year, from 2009 Topps Baseball Series 2. And finally got to see one of those plastic cards (Kevin Porter) that I see people post scans of. I was surprised about the size!

And lastly a question about the MVP double sided cards. The GUs seem pretty common but the double autos don't seem to be. I have a double auto with Mikael Tellqvist, but there is no numbering. I told my dealer about it today and he hasn't seen one before either and asked what the run was. But I have no idea! Do you guys know about the double autos? Oh, they aren't double auto GUs.

My local shop bought a binder from a guy who would go after HSAs. I think I know who this guy is too because I've done the whole "sit outside the arena in the cold waiting for the players to leave" deal, but because I was the driver. My friend always would go hang out by the exit to get the autos that way, but there was this one guy there who always brought a bunch of low end cards to get autoed. And he'd be there every game or open practice that I went to. I think it was him in any case. I just pulled the guys I collected from this binder, but there were a whole lot more in there. There were some suspect ones, like the Parkhurst Grosek. There were 3 of those and the one in my scan was the best looking one.

I got them for real cheap so I am not too concerned whether they are legit or not.

I'm not that active during the summer when it comes to cards now. My card room is upstairs and it gets too hot on most days to do anything in it. This room wasn't originally going to be for cards but they kinda took over. I made a giant collage on all of the walls, and it took like 3 months. I can post pics of the walls if anyone is interested.

Anyways, here's some new stuff. The Burke and Michalek are from newf662001

Its likely. I stopped buying singles, except recent ones, recently because I've gone through all the back stock that I care about. I've been going there since 2001 i think. So this may explain where all my Sabres cards I post go to lol

Here's some random hockey and baseball items.

Ooo I'm so glad I have to add more players to my list. At least Adrian Aucoin isn't too hard to get. Here's my first auto for him. For some reason I think I need the Jay Leach but not sure. I actually got two of the Ballards but why bother scanning both?

I also broke a box of 97-98 Leaf Hockey. Here are the goodies. The Weight, Leroux and Modano is available. Also picked up an XRC Samsonov Auto. It has the coa on the back. I seem to remember that someone on HI collected Samsonov, so I picked it up in case anyone needed it. Never seen that set before either.

Here's some oddball items I decided to scan up. Anytime I see a good miscut card, I always buy it. I guess I unofficially collect miscuts! They are not always easy to find, but unlike other types of rare cards, they are extremely cheap!

This might be a little hard to look at, considering how I scanned them. Sorry in advance!

Now, typically, miscut cards are more known in the past, or with smaller card companies. It seems rarer for newer cards or bigger companies releasing a miscut in a pack. But the first one we have here is an 08 Upper Deck baseball. Can't get any newer than that! The second, the Pinnacle, it actually NOT miscut like the other ones here. The white part in the corner is actually at an angle, so the card is bigger than it should be as well. The Kasparaitus and the Ludwig are the best kind of miscuts. Usually you have like the rest, verticle miscuts, like the Spike Owen (which is pretty bad) or the ITG Actions which are more common. I chose these two Devils because the extra part showing on the Corey Schwab is actually on the Mike Rupp card!

By now you have seen that Pinnacle World Championships card down there with the purple guy. This card was pretty insane when I saw it and I knew I had to get it. The scan doesn't come out real well on it, so here is what it says. On the front it says "Players Name" and the country is Canada. On the back it says:

Yes, it repeats itself on the back. The back is in the following scan. Also included is the Marshall Faulk promo phone card. I seem to remember seeing this in a Beckett or Tuff Stuff or something, so I picked that up too. Phone cards are definately way better than those CD cards. Now I have 3 phone cards, this one, Jim Carey (capitals) and Jeff Bagwell. Also bought a used Trade Card. I like to keep those too.

I got a BUNCH of stuff today. Well not today. I went out after work and spent some dough on a PS3 and parts for my car. Afterwards I decided that I might as well pick up my mail. My first idea about this was because earlier this week, I received a text message about how I should be charged rent for my mail. This is because I use a drop because I don't trust people enough in the city. Also if I won any of this stuff from you guys, I don't get my mail that often, so I usually leave feedback after pictures are removed from auctions. OH all this from Ebay!

Anyways, not everything was scanned. No baseball this time, although I got a bunch of limited Blue and Orange for 07 Bowman, a jersey from BDPP (my first) and a Scott Olsen auto. Threw in some other random stuff I got to fill out the scans. Also got another Heritage Zhamnov jersey card (I have 3 now I think) but it was slabbed and I was too lazy to go find a screwdriver. Also got a 96-97 UD Zhamnov which I don't think I had yet, but I'm unofficially up to 704 I think now.

I've got a good haul coming in the future. You'll have to wait for it.

For some stupid reason, getting ANY Robert Lang GU was really tough. This is probably the 10th one I bid on, and I won it. How weird. Also weird/lame that any Coyotes player (with current picture) still has a green swatch. Otherwise, nothing special here, except hard to win Lang AND Korpikoski... him actually harder to win but not as many copies online.

This is probably a steal with the Miller jersey. Scan fillers are the Jets and Lepisto cards. The back of the MVP One on One is Adam Hall.

Oh now here are some goodies. Show serials. Zhamnov in there, hard to win those I've found. He is popular, I guess from Blackhawks fans, Usually have to actually "win" those cards instead of being a 1 bid winner. Sorry d00ds!

Last bunch. A Hoggan YG that I've not seen before. A black border Fleer Zhamnov. I also got the Tkachuk from this set too but did not scan. Boucher is show stamped of /10 and Tarnstrom is 1/1.
