Has anyone heard what Marc Savard is up to lately? I'm curious if the Bruins will be able to put him back in the lineup next year. Even if he's half the player and needs to play 3rd line minutes, that would be an awesome addition to the Cup Champs roster. I guess it all depends on how the post concussion thing is going. Any info would be appreciated.

I heard that Mark retired in the mid-season. Too many concussions i guess.

Mueller.. I have no idea about, but he should be good next year.

He has not announced his retirement. The last time there was a news update on him he said that he was getting pretty worried, as he was experiencing short-term memory loss and just spacing out. He was at the Bruins Cup parade, FWIW.

Did he get a Cup ring??

Ring most likely...that's usually at the team's discretion isn't it? I'm sure Jamie Arniel and the callup crew got rings too.

His name isn't engraved on the Cup atm though since he didn't meet the minimum requirements for the season. Apparently Chiarelli's trying to lobby to have his name and Steve Kampfer's added though (Kampfer only fell 3 games short of the minimum and couldn't play in the finals due to injury.)

Well he was in the parade if that means anything.

I think I remember reading somewhere that he would get a ring. Which is a bitter sweet way to end your career.

Keep in mind he has has concussion issues going back more than a few years - I know he had been having issues going back to his time in Calgary - so that's going on 10 years

Not a scientific theory but based on the fact I won a Marc Savard redemption playing pack wars at our trade night - he will no doubt retire.
