...with a torn tendon from the skate of Carey Price.

This is absolutely the worst thing that could have happened to the Habs this year. Yes, worse than Price stinking up the joint like he did last year post All-Star game. Worse than Gomez only scoring 50-some points. Worse than not having a 2nd line.

Our record without Markov since the lockout is 6-19-2. That's 14 of a possible 54 points

snap. good thing i didn't pick him for my pool like i usually do. poor guy, when i saw him limp off, i thought he sprained it like i did...which is not pleasant..

Huge ouch. A torn tendon is the type of injury that not only takes out a player while it's rehabing, but it can affect them still after they return by affecting their skating ability. Even when he returns I doubt he can be the same player this season.

Wow, huge blow for the Habs. I wonder if they will call up a dman from Hamilton (Weber?) or if Gainey will attempt to trade for a replacement?

Webber should be the first call-up. I was surprised when they sent him down so that's some good news at least.

It's horrible news that Markov will be out for that long, but one of the reasons this team was rebuilt was because it was too dependent on a few players. Now we'll see how much the overhaul can help that.

ouch, lets hope he gets to a speedier recovery, missing him will hurt. Webber has been called up, i hope he can do well, if not maybe gainey will pull up Subban and we can see him do his thing

Yeah that really sucks. I still don't even see it when I watch the replays. The Habs should stand Pat for at least half a dozen games and see from there. A prime (or even good) puck moving defenceman would cost an arm and a leg and teams know Montreal is desperate.

You never know, a guy like Subban or Weber could step in and breakthrough, or Mara could meet the potential that he had early in his career, or Gill........ oh nevermind :)
