Mayweather vs. Ortiz

Anyone watch the fight?
It looked like an old-school rasslin match...i was almost expecting a chair shot when the ref was turned around.

Is it just me, or did the whole thing look staged? I was so annoyed when the announcer kept praising Mayweather as if he was the second coming of Ali.

The whole sport is a joke.

Until Mayweather and Pacquiao square off I will only be paying marginal attention. That fourth round between Mayweather and Ortiz was pretty bizarre. It definitely didn't get me enthused about boxing; however, seeing Pacquiao/Marquez 3 will at least (almost assuredly) be a fun fight to watch.

I normally can't stand Larry Merchant but his quote "I wish I was 50 years younger because then I'd kick your a**" is an instant epic. That whole post fight interview was surreal.
