McFarlane Customs

Not sure how these will go over on here, with there not being much McFarlane talk but I had to share these great works. Here are a bunch of customs that I have amongst my collection that Brent Zaharia made for me. He does great work. Here's his website to see others: http://www3.telus.net/beezer12/

I gave Brent the bellow photo to work off of for the above Jacques Plante. He even asked me for images of Plante from behind so he could get the straps and everything right.. very meticulous.

Terry Sawchuk.. before McFarlane came out with theirs..

Brent did this Jacques Plante in his 'V for Victory' pose (see bellow photo). It goes with the signed Plante game used stick that I picked up which he used during his time with the Blues. Brent made an exact mini replica of my stick for it even. He made a mould out a Jacques Plante Colgate head to create the head for this.

Hey Garrett,

you might have noticed from the other site, that im a pretty big McFarlane collector and talk about them often. These customs of yours are absolutely amazing!!! I especially love the Selanne celebration when he beat Bossy's record.

Thanks very much, the guy should be working for McFarlane. And thanks for the comment on the stick.. It's my favourite item, the early banana curved Bobby Hull gamer above it is a close 2nd.

Bilko- I have noticed, you must have a great collection. I don't have many but I'm starting to run out of room for them as it is. I'm hoping I can get McFarlane Toys to come up for The Summit.

Though not mine.. This one that he made to look like his the RC image is really incredible imo.

As already mentioned the guy that makes these is named Brent. I don't make them. His website is: http://www3.telus.net/beezer12/
He won't always make just anything, you kind of just have to ask and cross your fingers that he will say yes to what you're asking for.

what's the custom work he puts in?

Whatever it takes to achieve his goal.. He swaps heads, helmets, arms, torsos etc.. re-works the face's some how to achieve the likeness of a player. He'll heat up parts to move them around. The Kurri that he made for me looks so much like him up close. He ALWAYS does a full repaint, you could just give him a McFarlane to only repaint to make it look a zillion times better. No matter how tiny something is like the writing on a hockey stick, he'll get it on there and you can read it.
