Hi everyone,

I was watching this card recently and was stunned as to the final price:

McDavid Seismic Gold RC

I have a BGS 9 that I paid $225 for last year - has this card seen a substantial increase in value, or is this a one-off sale?

Would love your input/opinions!

Cheers!

Bidding looks ok to me and the seller seems reputable. Looks like it made it to $600 pretty easily and then a couple of folks chased it after that. Maybe see if you can flip yours and double your money?

There were a couple of bidders that might make it look shill-esque, but overall I think it is probably legit.

I'll watch this one closely:

McDavid #2

If it approaches what the other one sold for, I'll believe that the card has basically seen a 200% price jump over the past year.

I am in complete agreement with Frank - I am not sure why someone is buying a seismic gold /50 for close to what an autographed RC would run you.

I will say that the card in question might be the most visually appealing McDavid that I have seen yet - that coupled with the fact that these variations are all starting to dry up might somewhat explain the anomaly.

BGS 9.5 just sold for $1026......... I am defintely surprised by that price, I should have waited to move my PSA 10 copy :duh:

Something is fishy with the three recent auctions for this card.

One copy is won and then relisted for slightly more.

A high grade copy sells for more than a Black Ice Auto /50 sold for, and nearly $700 more than an Orange Retro RC variation /49 sold for ($306).

What to make of this?

Should anyone sitting on a copy be throwing them up there and expecting a similar bounty?

Im curious myself, I had a copy of the Purple Rainbow non auto /25 I sold for around $300-350 awhile back. I would love to see what that one would go for :brow:
