Miguel Torres back in the UFC

He was at the press conference with Dana White. He's apparently donated money to women's rape shelters, paid his dues, etc etc, and Dana says he's comfortable reinstating him and bringing him back.

Glad he's back. Not condoning what he said, obviously, but this situation just highlights the hipocracy of Dana, Forrest said some very bad things on twitter, no discipline. Rashad Evans tees off on Phil Davis saying the worst of any of these three and Dana White actually laughed at it during the press conference. Miguel says his stupid **** and gets fired. Nobody should be surprised that he's back. Again I'm happy namely because of the first two reasons you highlighted Matt.

I had no problem with Dana letting Torres go in the first place.

I took issue with the fact that he fired Torres without speaking to him directly. His "people" spoke directly with Torres and he made his decision based on that. I'm sure if Dana had spoken to him directly, he wouldn't have been fired.

I've heard, and read that Dana was informed of Torres comments in the middle of an interview, I think with Showdown Joe, and immediately said that he was fired once he saw the comments himself. This just goes back to if you're a premier fighter, or Forrest Griffin you're not going to be held accountable for anything you say or do.
