More stuff showing!

Got some oddball items to show you fine people today.
and a photo of my newly updated Oilers shelf!

Hopefully I'll get some mail later today, expecting one item to get here sometime (well, truthfully expecting 3 things, but the AHL box will never arrive, the other was sent out yesterday, and the thing that might get here)

So, I felt like bringin something to the table.

Sorry for the LowQ scans, but those are from one of those Desktop calendars, from last year, or year before. :shrugs: one or the other. A neat little player collection item.
They're oddball size though, don't fit in a 4x6 toploader which is a pain. they miss by about a half inch or less.

anywho, onto the revised Oilers shelf.

This things overgone more changes than a NYR lineup after Free Agent season.
Added in the Heritage pack and thanks to a ridiculously long Smith base (it's a foot long, a literal 12 inches.) so nothing fit properly after that, so we now have a nice little setup goin on.
Got wayne over there burying one on Red light, I mean salo. and a buncha misc stuff, smyth auto'd puck, bendy doll, beany bear, comrie nameplate, canadapost card etc.etc you can all see it.

Smith with the wrister, Smyth comes out from behind the coke can, the tip! SCORES! THEODORE WAS CAUGHT LETTING IN A DRAFT THROUGH THE FIVE HOLE! OILERS LEAD! :D

Great stuff you got on that shelf of yours. The Heritage Classic McFarlane is awesome. I think I want one of those. Thanks for sharing your large collection of Oilers memorbilia.

Awesome stuff you got there! Love seeing the pics of your various hockey "things". :D
That calendar thing is cool...never seen those before. Pretty unique additions to your collections for sure! What year is it from?
The shelf is awesome...real nice. Although, I think I like your Leafs/Jays shelf better. ;) What is the doll thing in a suit? Is it one of the old Gretzky ones? A relative of mine as one of those, only he is in a Oilers uniform...pretty neat. Kinda beat up though. I can remeber playing with it a long time ago. :)

BTW: I passed the 50 card mark with my Stajan collection...don't know if you saw that or not...I'm pretty happy with it! :D

It's funny you mention the Gretzky man barbie. Naim and I were just talkin about it.
That's the suit you could also get for it.
I have the jersey and that somewhere, I'm,,,just not sure where.
It's in the bag because it happened tobe in the bsement when it flooded and well, picked up some odour, so the bag has one of those downy dryer sheets in there to make him smell like fresh laundry again.
I'd have to do some digging to find the Oilers getup, but I do/should have it. It has probably seen better days, I just keep it on the back of the shelf for lack of a better place :/ heh.


The Jays/leafs shelf is next to get a makeover :) I'll probably seperate the two because there's so many leafs SP's.
some I don't have dubs of (like the messier oilers) and others I do that I'll crack, have to figure it out.

The bases on these are so big, makes it hard to display.

That's quite the milestone with 50 stajans :eek: Quite the impressive number dude.

100 might be a bit of a stretch, 15 might be closer to accurate which is still a lot.
actually, it's probably close to 20
would have to add em up

That's cool that you have the Oilers jersey too. I think they are pretty neat. Probably not worth a whole lot but cool to have for sure.

Cool, can't wait to see the pics when it's done! :D Should be pretty sweet. I wish I had the room to do stuff like that...I've just got all my little hockey things in drawers and boxes...once I get more McFarlanes I'll have to display them somewhere though. If I had a digital camera I'd show you my Tucker mini-bobble head too. It's really cool. I don't know if you have/seen one, but I think it's a magnet. I think a digital camera may be on the way soon though...:)

Thanks. :) I'm almost at the 50% completion mark aswell...at 40% right now...just need...umm...lemme see, 13 more and I'll be at 50.4%. That is one good thing about this lockout, it have given me much needed time to catch up on my player collections.

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask you...do you have a Comrie Lux. Suite jersey/stick? I almost bought one at the last show...for $6...think I should have? It was a 3 colour jersey too.

sorry for the long read...I've got nothing better to do. haha
 
Phil - I was at a local shop in Calgary picking up some stuff for traders who have sent me freebies lately, and I found these two oddball cards. I picked them up with you in mind. Do you need them?

I've never seen these cards before. If you want them, I'd be happy to send them your way. If you have a couple of base cards off my wantlist, great, and if not, no worries. PM me your mailing address if you're interested in the cards. (Isn't it funny how once you join Beckett and HI, you can't go card shopping without thinking of everyone else's collections?

Need the other ones though, patch/jsy, stick patch and whichever other ones pacific decided to make before they closed shop.

It took me awhile to take the plunge and buy this bookshelf from ikea.
room isn't very big, but, it would take a tenth of asecond to realizeI'm a sports fan, and a bit of a clutterfreak.
Digital camera's are endless fun, well, until the batteries die, but, can do so much fun crap with em, and ya don't feel bad about taking pointless photos because there's no film, so it's great that way.

Only 13, that's increderiffic!
He'll prolly bein more AHL sets as the year continues, the one the league just put out and prolly some team issue something or other, who knows, AHL cardsets are so hard to keep track of, Ikeep meaning to go hit up a bulldog game to see what's going on if they have any card sets lined up or anything, maybe I should take a look at their schedule heh :)

6$ ain't bad for the Comrie, idiots were quoting me 15 at the expo, ridiculous.

Think i have seen those tucks mini bobbles, couldn't bring myself to buy it Wanted to get one of those mini jersey on a hanger things too, but, magnets, hate magnets, have too many video tapes and audio tapes kicking around that are fairly important...and a lot that aren't all that important but nice.

nothing better to do = how I end up with neat lookin shelves of toys :S

Focus more on the job thing, but the only real probable job listing was in timmins...and with no offens(c)e to those in timmins, but, a 6'3 140lb guy doesn't do winter too well...and Timmins, well, they do winter up there, real good. heh.


And Jake, I think it's 19 + a 12" so 20 ;)
actually 22 if you count 2 two packs.

Glad ya liked that, I was having trouble chosing, Free Agent season or Trading deadline, went with the Free agent. :)
