Where can I get the most comprehensive stats website? People complain that refs are biased or what not, is there a site that lists the refs, the penalties given out to each team, etc. I want to see if there's any correlations or causations between refs and team wins.

From what I am gathering, the site is more for individual players. It's great, but doesn't help with my curiosity of seeing if refs have any bias

I dont know anyone that has a site that breaks down games a ref does and who he calls penalties on. If you want to do the work yourself you can go to NHL.com. Under Stats go to Game By Game Stats. Then chose the Penalties by Game. After that you can pull up each game and it shows who the ref is and the penalties given.

For oddball stats try http://www.behindthenet.ca/

They have a stat for penalties drawn vs taken of players. Seems like it may answer your guestions a little on players that overall refs may be biased towards. Fun for arguements like Crosbys numbers are 13 taken 17 drawn and Ovechkins are 23 taken and 25 drawn. Seems neither really get a favor of penalties called or drawn.

Hope that helps
