did anyone buy this product? I bought a few packs and I thought they were really need and out of 3 packs I pulled a monsters card or something like that ( I have my cards packed away and too lazy to go get them)

I want to know how other people felt about this set.

I was interested in picking a couple packs to see what they're like..

The era is a bit older than I hoped. Would like to see more movies from when I grew up (After 1950). I believe the theme is first half of the 20th century correct?

Calgore7 (Tina) had some ordered but I don't think they arrived yet

I bought a box of the first series when they came out. Breygent did a great job with the set. As Ironman alluded to, they tended to pick older movies, though not all of them were. They also picked some pretty obscure ones, which is great for movie buffs like myself.

It's definitely a niche product, but works out well if you're a fan of cinema.

I'm a big fan of the first set of cards, but that's mainly because I edited the card backs for Breygent. They are always well-designed and the card quality is good.

The one thing I would say is that you are better off purchasing a box, as it's very easy to pull the costume cards out of the boxes -- they look like 2x4s.

Ah that's really cool that you did that. I did buy only boxes except one wierd thing.
the two Karl Malden cards that I got are both fedora pieces but one is a 130 pt and the other is 75 pt but both contain fedora pieces. Does that sound wierd at all? I am wondering why one would be double the size of the other. It barely fit in the packaging.
All in all, i loved the break. I was not interested in the ROI but having pure fun opening up stuff. I don't really get that anymore with sports other than baseball. That conversation is best left for another thread.

Is this the first time Breygent released a product? It sounds like they may have more releases?

They did some older cinema sets in the past. They did a couple lines of Three Stooges Cards and a Wizard of Oz set, including autographs of some of the living cast members.

Nah, they've released 3 movie poster-themed sets, some Marilyn Monroe, 3 Stooges, and Wizard of Oz.

They also have a Dexter set coming up soon.

Wow cool.. well they did a good job with this one..makes me want to go into non sports i think. Sort of getting tired of the sports theme these days.
