I never collected anything non-cards really. I'd picked up a signed book because the price was right, later on a really nice "Return To MSG" signed print, then a couple signed pucks. I'd gently looked for a game-used stick but never came across anything other than long since closed listings. I never really thought I'd own one being a vintage item, but I happened to come across just such a chance.

It's not photomatched (yet) and there isn't any COA, but the seller's story of how he acquired, what I saw of the rest of his Rangers collection, the model of stick, the wear, it all seemed to line up and I trust that this is an authentic game-used stick. Without giving away too much of the seller's information he's a long time Rangers collector who knew some people/players within the organization through the years. After some negotiations I got a tracking number...and the UPS man delivered a late birthday/early Christmas present to me today.

Here we go!

The plan is to hang it on the wall beside the bookcase I have my Giacomin PC stored in. I think it will look pretty nice up there once I figure out a safe and secure way to hang it. Truly a piece that becomes the cornerstone to my collection and something I will enjoy owning and seeing every day. Hope you enjoy the show!

Wow, now that is a truly one-of-a-kind piece for your collection. I love seeing vintage memorabilia pieces. The stories they could tell...

HUGE congrats on this stunning stick!

Ron,

That is beyond a WOW!!! What a pick up for your PC!

Congratulations and thanks for letting us see this amazing piece of history

Awesome! That’s a fine piece of lumber.

It’s probably a *tad* heavier than the typical 600 to 650 grams of a modern composite goalie stick.

Thank you all for the words and compliments so far. When I woke up this morning and saw the stick it instantly made me smile. Just to think of the history there and everything, to have it sitting there is pretty damn neat if I do say so myself.

I'm still figuring out how to display it. It actually looks pretty good right beside my bookcase where I store all my Eddies but I think I'd like to see it hung on the wall yet.

Ron:

A wicked and uniquely unique pick-up of a HHOF goalie! I can only imagine the intensity of waiting for that kind of a package to show up at your door.

This transcends being a hockey card or player collector, and dips into NHL history at its finest. Imagining you opening that package is cross between Cam Newton's Superman pose and Ralphie’s (Christmas Story) excitement when he opens his Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock and tells time too!

Congrats dude, that is a winner!!!!!

That, collectively, right there. Pure joy. No other way to put it. Thanks BRUH!
