My first Racing break...scan-intensive...

So I was picking up some supplies yesterday and saw a box of '08 Press Pass Speedway sitting there, and I thought instead of doing a box of BAP, which is never nice to me, I'd grab that to see what the racing cards are like. Now, I am *NOT* a NASCAR fan at all, but my favourite F1 driver - Juan Pablo Montoya - defected over to NASCAR a few years back, so I thought it would be cool to bust this stuff and maybe even get a card or two of him.

Kind of weird busting something where you know nothing about who's a "good hit" or not aside from some of the key names like Stewart, Earnhardt Jr, Gordon, etc.

I was very happy to pull a Montoya Race-Used Shirt card in the 2nd last pack!! :dance: :dance: I rarely ever pull someone that I'm looking for LOL

Anyway, it was fun - I just wish either I could get into NASCAR or someone would come out with a Formula One card release - now that I'd be all over!

Here are the hits, which are all going onto my eBay store to see how this stuff sells (judging by what's up currently, tough to tell if it'll be slow-selling or go well)...if anyone here wants anything, just PM me with what you want.

I also managed a full 100-card set of base, so not sure if I'll be keeping that or selling...

Not a bad break.

I busted a box of Speedway last week and by what I've seen from others a race used or auto and a numbered piece is the norm. This is the "low end" of the NASCAR stuff, something like an OPC Hockey release from the past few years.

Not a bad break at all, I havnt broke into any of this but the scans of the cards look pretty cool, I actually like the cockpit set... And bonus on top of that hitting the montoya cards, and Frachitti if you like him too! Do they not have an F1 set or is it IRL that Danika races in, I know there is something out there with her in it.

There is an absolutely stunning F1 set on the market from Futera http://futera.com/product/gpu06 . Unfortunately it was very limited (something like 40 cases total) , very pricey, and singles rarely ever pop up. I managed to pick up a Schumacher RU finally about 2 months ago after running some Worldwide ebay searches as opposed to ebay.com searches. Rittenhouse put out the IRL cards a couple of years ago. As far as I know, you can get the boxes for a fair price online... though the Danica autos are still $150-200.
