Morning all,
Last night I posted my recent S & T of cards. This is my growing game used collection. Sorry for the fuzzy photos, was using my friends cell.
1. Just my regular jersey that I got autographed years ago at meet the Kings. I was in line for Labarbera first...lol I wear this to all my kings games and really looking forward to next weeks game against Ducks. I have basically on the glass tickets and taking my friend to her first game. Its a spot that frequents being on TV so you might see me...lol
2. This I took a gamble on and lost. Its not game used or anything but was cheap enough to not stress it.
3. This was my first actual game used. Its got Meigray Docs and was a reused Rangers jersey from the lockout for the Wolf Pack.
4. Finally after weeding thru many Monarchs jerseys I came across this one. It appears authentic, right tags and there are many photos of him in this style. Again it was very inexpensive so not really worried about it.
5. Rangers.. I love this jersey. Meigray papers say it was worn as backup. Forgot the specific year. It has the 9/11 commemorative patch on the left shoulder and am told its semi rare. I really appreciate this jersey and its definitely my favorite.
6. This is my blocker. Meigray states it was used for Wolf Pack year or something general like that. Well that same year he was called up and played a few games with Rangers. I think I found a photomatch but will let you guys decide. It has major wear and repairs. If you reference the photo there are many puck marks, discolouration and frays that I think match up. For example the "W" in wood really matches. Not to mention the actual design of the blocker is unique. And the repairs match up to the heavy fraying that you can see in the picture.
7. Sticks, I dont have any pictures right now but I have a few sticks. Rangers, Kings and maybe Canucks (Hasnt been verified yet)
I am always looking to add more Labarbera items. I have found other teams, yotes, kings, oilers and such..but they are just a little more expensive then I want to spend.
And again when they go to auction the realized price is much lower. Normally about half of some of the original asking prices.
I am very excited to see him with the Ducks this year. Hope to see him play and should be able to snatch up a game used Ducks jersey. They really burn thru them..lol
