Hi guys,
I hope all of you have had a good holiday season so far. For me personally, it's been busy with 3 young kids, their snotty noses and many wake ups through the night. However, I think we're on the upswing and finally go a chance to scan some of the last additions for the year.
The cards below is not a best of 2022, although some of the cards might have made a top 10 if i made one!
Anyway, here's what recently came in...
I started collecting Jussi back in 2005-06, during his rookie season. I sold my collection to a Finnish collector on here. And now, I just pick up random cards that i see. This was a $0.99 card pick up on ebay! :banana:
05-06 Hot Prospects Jussi Jokinen Red Rookie /50
The next card I wanted for a long time. I remember breaking a tonne of these boxes back in 2005-06 season with my brothers. I don't think my 2 brothers or I, ever actually hit one. So finally, after all these years, saw a good price and picked one up. :banana:
05-06 Fleer Ultra Sidney Crosby Rookie
Long time ago, I finished the platinum Rookie Subset of the 05-06 The cup. And eventually I sold it, about 2 years ago or so, to a HI member here. Thought I sold it at a $$$ high, but I was wrong. So regret selling the set, partly because of $, but also b/c it was quite an accomplishment and was associated with a lot of positive hobby memories.
Recently Steve (quincy) mentioned that he had some Jeff carter Cup rookies available (another card is down below), and when I saw this card, it made me smile. So i had to have it. Thank you Steve! :beer:

Next up, just a couple cards that I bought over on COMC many moons ago. To be honest, I kind of forgot what exactly I had there. It was better than I remembered.
A while back i was trying to put together the 09-10 emblems of endorsement set together, eventually gave up on the set. But I had this card left over from that set. :groove:

Another set I gave up on was the 08-09 version of the emblems of endorsement. This also was stuck over on COMC for a while. Kinda glad it was there, otherwise, I probably would have sold it off with the rest of them.
I also love the patch, looks like some writing on it too. :banana:

To continue with the E of E theme, not much of a story, just decided to pick this up off of ebay. Always liked Big Joe, and so was happy to pick this one up :groove:

As you can probably tell by my signature banner, I'm a big Modano fan. Always have since his rookie year. His 1990-91 Upper Deck Rookie card is still one of my all-time favourite cards. But these next 2 are not too shabby either.
This was just a recent ebay pick up for a solid price. Just something about the older cup stuff...:dance:

And this, again, a COMC purchase, literally like 6 years ago. Happy to have it home...:rock: The patches are fantastic and look better in person. :banana:

Next up, is Ovie. I always liked Ovechkin, and been watching him his entire career. Not sure if you guys saw that nhl.com had a 20min video of all of ovie's 800 goals in the video. Pretty cool. Check it out if you haven't. Anyway, I have a small PC of him and decided to add to it. This comes from Brian (cfind). Thanks Brian! :thumbsup:

Not much of a story to the following card. Just a nice trader that I thought was a nice pick up from ebay. :banana:
2012-13 UD The Cup Tavares Lindros Auto 4/5 Dual Programme of Excellence
Lastly, just my 05-06 The Cup pick ups.
I have been able to pick a good number recently of the gold base /25 parallels from someone on FB. 6 of these were from FB, 1 on comc and 1 on ebay. Anyway, happy to have these, but still a long way to go. Think I need another 40ish.

The Signature patches have been a bit slow. I'm down to the last 7 (Billy smith, Hextall, Lafleur, Drury, Neely, Stastny, Spezza). The 8th one was the Salming below (ebay find). The other 2 below are extras (Parrish from a local show) and Phaneuf a $10 find on ebay. If you guys have any I need, I would love a shot at them.

And lastly, the last 3 cards for my pick ups are the Honorable Numbers. I picked up the Carter again from Steve (thanks again). The Esposito an ebay purchase and the Macdonald from Mike (holygoalie), but a thank you to Mitch (gropman cards), for putting me in touch with Mike. Thank you to everyone! :thumbsup:
