My latest game used pickup

I don't do many mail or pics these days but figured my latest game used jersey deserved one.
Went to the Wings equipment sale a few weeks back with Bill (Hasek) and as usual it's always cool to see the game used items and hopefully pick up a thing or 2.
This season the Wings went with only 1 home and 1 away jersey for the whole season. Usually it's 2 to 3 sets for both home and away so needless to say the prices on the jerseys went up. To get an idea on some of the jerseys

Lidstrom $3000
Zetterberg $1500
Datsyuk $1500
Helm $1000 (you have got to be kidding me?!?!)
Franzen $1000

Now these jerseys were worn in the hall of fame game and they had the patch from that game re-attatched at the end of the season so they were cool but those prices were insane.
What I did find was from last season and the price was about half of this seasons. Only 1 jersey but I'm happy

Only other thing I got was a 16 x 20 Yzerman auto'd photo of him holding the cup for $80 so that was a pretty good price when I know it's real.
Any comments are appreciated and I can't wait to buy another jersey I'm addicted!!!

Trev - nice pick up. Rafalski is a somewhat overlooked, unsung star in the game. I'd say you did good!

Good stuff!! All teams should go back to using 1 set for the entire season. I'd much rather pay more $$$ for good wear than get a cheapy with none.

Just out of curiosity, does the serial # on the jersey match the Hockeytown LOA? I have seen a bunch (one that I own included) that don't match. Christi said the jerseys are legit though...just some LOA's went out with the wrong jerseys.

Will-411 Cory, thanks I've always liked Rafalski even from Jersey days. He takes some surprising crap from people here locally and I have no idea why. I think he's borderline all star every year.


Koondog44 I was thrilled when they said they only used one set for the regular season. Not thrilled with the prices. Especially the Helm. I wanted a Helm jersey but I can't justify the $1000 price tag for a 3rd or 4th line guy who's barely going to score 10-15 goals a year.
The serial number does match. It did happen one time where it didn't with my Datsyuk jersey and I ended up getting it changed at Joe Louis by Christy. When they did a sale a few years back one of the racks fell and several jerseys and COA's got mixed up and I ended up with a Kopecky COA and the hologram didn't match.
