Was thrilled to hear that HI decided to open up a MMA section to the site, so I figured a perfect chance to show off most of what I have. Most of my collection as you will see are signed photos that I get when I meet the fighters at different functions, but all of my items I am proud of, and most have a story to tell to go along with them. Two things of note I'm too lazy to photograph are my signed copies of BJ Penn's book Why I Fight and Forrest Griffin's first book Got Fight?. Sorry for any sloppy scans, and I hope you enjoy!
Let's start with some cards...
For the keen eyed of you, no, those are not doubles, I have two Misaki autos. Also, are cards except the GSP are available (shameless plug).
A couple of autographed figures...
Here are most of my IP autos, 2 were obtained for me by my good buddy Bebop, and one was a gift from a shop owner when I found it at the bottom of a case.
Autographed Fight Glove - really wish Cain would've inscribed it, but some guys just don't for whatever reason. Atleast he personalized it
UFC 129 Program Signed by Jake Shields (did not attend this event, but met him in Vancouver during UFC 131 weekend)
These are programs from every event I have attended (not shown are UFN Seattle and UFC 131)
A couple of posters now - the first belongs to my fiancee, the second is signed by every fighter on the UFC 131 card, and limited to 125 copies.
Now my 3 favourite items in my collection...
#3 - It's not always about watching half naked men, in the words of Sean Connery - I heart boobs
#2 - Given all the heat he got last weekend, he was more than happy to really personalize this glove for me...
#1 - Probably my favourite meeting ever with a fighter. During the UFC 131 Q&A a guy asked to see Bonnar's abs (strange I know). So when I met him I joking asked if I could see them too, to which he replied he'd like to see mine and tried to lift up my shirt, in hindsight a little unusual but still damn hilarious. I asked him to make out the autograph to me and to feel free to write anything he wanted. To keep with the theme of abs, here's what he wrote for me...
With any luck one day I can unleash my true #1 item, but we'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Also I hope to see more posts here soon with everyone's goods!
