So, i am not just a fan of hockey, but a fan of greatness in all sports. Since coming back to collecting one of my goals has been to put together a hard signed autograph collection of the greatest athletes in the sports that i value and love. Now they didnt just have to be great but i am trying to focus on the ones who really defined their sport, that have done something no others have done.
So here is the beginning of that collection.
First one is of someone i idolized when i was growing up in the 80's and actually got to meet at one of his skating schools. he truly ruled his sport for years and gave life to skateboarding. Tony Hawk - love this buyback, sweet looking card!
Next up is someone again who has dominated his sport for two decades! a true talent and forever the greatest surfer. Kelly Slater - UD did a great job with this set!
I'am not a fan of this sport, not even sure if you can call it a sport, but when Vince McMahon needed a champion, Hulk Hogan was the guy. Hogan took professional wrestling and made it the billion dollar industry that i has been for the last 30yrs.
Absolutely love these Allen & Ginter Autograph cards! so unique and collectable (i pulled the Hogan above) and thx to this set it has allowed me to add a few of my most wanted auto's to the ol pc.
Next is the most dominant of All-time female alpine skier in the world, and soon to be Greatest all time regardless of sex in all five styles, and Olympic Gold medalist! Lindsey Vonn
This next one is a dream to own. He has scored goals in 4 World Cups, won 3 of them, has almost 1300 goals (including un-official matches), is viewed as the greatest Footballer of all time, but really what makes him so great in my opinion is that he made everyone around him better.

This next one i have been looking for a hard signed auto of his for over 12yrs and even though he is not my favourite Tennis player no one can deny that he is the greatest Tennis player of all time. This is easily one of my most important PC cards.

This new addition to this collection has been a long time coming. It has been near impossible to get one of his Allen & Ginter auto's. Next is the greatest all time Olympian in any discipline, 23 time gold medalist for a total of 28 olympic medals.
and i got this one as well (it is available for sale)
and when i saw this extremely limited and super rare one i had to get it.... it is in perfect condition and am sending it off to BGS, wouldn't be surprised if it comes back a black label.
as i add more to my World Champions Collection i will update this post.
