NBA Finals-Game 1-Mavs/Heat thread

I am anxious, so I needed to start it up. Predictions?

I think both teams are unsure of eachother. Miami knows pretty well about the Mavs, but the Mavs are probably unsure because they blew them out in November and February. They KNOW this isnt the same Heat team so they probably will be trailing and getting use to Miami, but they still will be keeping it a game.


For the Heat, they need to run the break like they can. Once Wade has the ball on the break its an automatic bucket. I'm really wondering the matchups, I think late in games Harris should be on Wade. For some reason he seems like the kid to stop him. Pat said GP will be playing when the game is on the line so I predict Terry will be guarding him.

My one big question..Is Dirk aggressive enough to play D on Shaq and is Shaq quick enough for Dirk on the drive.

Ok Ok..I'm done..I predict Miami by 6

But the Mavs will take the series into 6-7 games

BTW, why would shaq and dirk be matched up? Should be Dirk vs Haslem, Shaq vs Diop/Dampier/Van Horn/etc/etc/etc.....

oh yeah i forgot well diop is gonna be out with 4 fouls in the half each game cause he hasn't guarded anyone as good as shaq and dampier well do okay but he hasn't played in awhile

Mavs in 6! -In this game both teams will get a feel for each other, but if one gets the advantage and figures the other out they can blow it out, but if they still try to feel each other out they will have a close game tonight, and then work on it in game 2!

Why the announcers always talk about Wade being the first to go to the Finals and win a championship, I mean Duh Josh Howard was in that same class too! And he has a huge impact on his team as well....sure Darko won with the Pistons but they don't count him cause he sat on his ***, at least Josh Howard is a big part of his team, and yet no mention of him, what the f is up with that?
