Not saying that the Choked, but Didn't Detroit beat LA for their Latest championship?

Edit: in '04 Lakers had Malone and Payton and lost to Detroit in 5.

Boston was a better team. Their bench was strong, thier starters and especially their stars were strong. Garnett, Allen and Pierce all put up good numbers add to that Rondo'd great performance. Boston was the better team all season, they should have won. I still don't think that the Lakers were the second best team but hey thats just my opinon. Its like saying that the Cavs were the second best team last year, they weren't but their stars (Lebron and Kobe) carried their teams.

So far, the past 7 years, the only team to actual win it all from the West is San Antonio. Dallas and LA both choked as favorites in their attempts.

Kobe is not Jordan and Jordan is not Kobe, but both are unbelieveably talented.

Anyway , congrats to the Celtics on winning it and a big congrats to the BIG TICKET. Even though I am a Lakers fan I am happy KG got a ring finally, the dude deserves it as much as anyone in the NBA.:beer:

Na, the Lakers were heavy favs. There's a "fail" poster floating around where only 1 so called "expert" picked the Celtics. It was an 8 or 9 to 1 Laker vote lol

I was far more worried about the Spurs than I was the Lakers. Kobe is great, but Gasol for his size is one of the weakest players I've ever seen. The guys a 7 foot pansy.
