Some how over the past few years, I got my hands on the Eddie Shore (almost perfect, but has a glued-on black thing on the back) and a graded Ching Johnson. Was searching tonight and got a decent deal on an Ace Bailey; so I'm only missing the Howie. Would prefer a graded version, but also don't have much excess $$ right now so the cheaper the better

No rush either... doesn't have to be picked up this month or this year.

Anyone know how to safely remove a glued on thing from teh back of a card without destroying the card?

I heard that a nylon removes the glue, but have never tried it myself. The wife will barely miss one.

I have not been able to remove glue.But nylon will sure brighten the colors on cards.It will clean wax off of the cards and make those white boarder just shine.

Picked up an SGC30 (PSA 2 comparable) of the Howie - would love to upgrade though. Anyone have one lying around?

Also looking for more ideas on the black thing - it reminds me of a corner piece you'd use to keep stamps in a stamp album. I heard you can freeze cards without hurting them, then the glue flakes off. Anyone try this? Would rather not "experiment" on a 75 year old near-mint card!!!

that sounds like it would work...but try it out on a not so good card.

I would be a little worried about the chance of moisture condensation from the warm to cold and vice versa. Ever open mail that was in your box for a bit on a cold day? I received a couple of cup card in one touch holders that instantly fogged when brought into the house. Something I would definitely
be careful of if trying that.

Hi Ron,

I actually picked up a SGC 3.0 version last week... would love to upgrade to a PSA 5 at some point.
